Would y’all want to make a move for MPJ if he became available? We know he can score and knock down 3’s, only 26, and would fit at the 4. Not sure how much defense he plays but Ime would definitely get something out of him on that side. He did make the following quote… "If we don't win it this year, we all know they might have to break it up,"
I brought up MPJ as a target in another thread. He would be great here. His defense isn't good though.
Time to trade Cam whie he still Has value left . He’s losing value fast now as he’s out the rotation for the foreseeable future. There’s no room for him on this team and to have him play the Tate and uncle Jeff is a waste of an asset.
Whitmore+Jabari+Jock+Jeff Green+2027 Suns FRP+Future first for JJJ. Alpi/Adams JJJ/Eason Brooks/Amen Green/Reed FVV/Holiday
It's a pretty good offer. JJJ might be able to take the Rockets into the playoffs. I'm interested in Jabari's growth, but this might be better for Houston, by the trade deadline.
I don’t mind this but I think that’s a bit much to give up. I would still want to keep some tradeable salaries and assets for future upgrades. While JJJ is a legit helpside defender, he is often injured and for some reason is a terrible rebounder. Even his three point shooting is more reputation than actual production. I would do something like Jabari, Cam, one of Jock/Jeff, and a single future first.
To get one must give Jabari, Cam & Adams (The contracts are less than a 1/2million apart). Not many if any picks are needed. Adams is perfect mentor for Edey. Jabari replaces JJJ. Cam becomes 6th man of the year one day. There is room and need for each of them. this clean us up too. 3 centers is crazy, and Sengun’s contract make Adams obsolete.
I want us to keep Uncle Jeff. He can hoop, and I suspect he will give us some more significant minutes in the playoffs.
I will say JJJ would be a pretty fascinating fit. Sheppard / Green / Tari or Amen / JJJ / Sengun? That’s a helluva team on both ends.
Why has Jackson only played 30 mpg one season of his career? In saying that I would trade for this guy waaaaaay before Giannas A not as good but cheaper and much younger.
Yeah, he's probably #1 on the list of non-'star' players that we could add that would help our team. Perfect complement to Sengun and Green
Smile, Black is not being used to his fullest potential. The last few years were more than frustrating with Green. If Silas was still the coach absolutely. Green is not the same player anymore under new management.
lol thought of Momster's tweet : " Can you mother fukkahs go a day without wanting to trade our entire team."
Whitmore hadn’t played well through his seven appearances for Houston, scoring 6.1 points on a putrid 5.6% shooting from distance on 2.6 attempts. His overall 39.8% effective field goal percentage was especially uninspiring, leading to the Rockets sending Whitmore down to the G-League on Thursday. With Whitmore being pushed completely out of the Rockets’ rotation, the 20-year-old versatile scoring forward could be labeled as expendable. While there’s still plenty of time for Whitmore to capitalize on the potential he’s shown, the Rockets’ accelerated timeline could lead to a trade. Houston may not be able to cater to Whitmore’s needs, but they can send him to plenty of teams that are itching for the offensive abilities of an efficient Whitmore. For one, teams like the Portland Trail Blazers, Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons could always use an extra piece to assist in their rebuilds. In return for Whitmore, Jerami Grant, for Cam Whitmore is the best case
