No one has "given up" on him. People are just pushing back on some claims like Cam could do what Jalen does now if given the opportunity.

Not only is he not beating the draft scouts allegations, he’s shooting like 6% from 3. Mans I’m so sincere, 2 minutes of garbage time is all he’s gonna get acting too cool for school too. Nobody is giving up on Cam. Some of Cam's fans believe Udoka has, which is dumb. The Rockets are only 8 games into the season and Cam-natics are already whining he has no chance to get back into the rotation. When his 3-point shot starts falling and he screws his head on a little tighter, Cam will get rotation minutes. Injuries could also help him.
...again just cap Fred's minutes at 28-30 instead of 40+ and take a few minutes off Dillon's MPG and spread the remaining minutes out to Cam and Reed. Aside from not turning the ball over, Fred hasn't been very good at offense OR defense so far this year even with consecutive good games.
We did that last game and won while looking good. We can't do the thibodeux approach and play him 40 mpg, risk injuries, keep losing, and stunt youth growth
I wouldn't worry about Cam. He didn't forget how to shoot the ball, and injuries will come unfortunately. If 2nd year Jalen Green was on this team ahead of 4th year Jalen Green then 2nd year Jalen Green would be in the same position on the bench. I would just chalk this up to Tari playing phenomenal defense, and Dillon Brooks being "good Dillon" which we all know probably won't last.
Cam is too good and talented to be benched, but we just got too many players on the team. I expect he’ll get more playing time once they trade brooks, Jabari and they decline VanVleets team option.
I was going to reply with your last sentence. They are inevitable. That’s how cam got his chance last season I’m confident he will do well when getting minutes this year.
All I’ve seen from cam is a strong desire to put the ball in the hole. All other facets of basketball seem foreign to him.
Cam had terrible body language yesterday. This might be more punitive than anything. I doubt Cam asked to be sent down.
There are things Cam can't do that Jalen can do. That said, there are things Cam can do that Jalen can't as well. The Rockets have less players capable of doing what Green can do. Cam's problem, besides experience, is that the Rockets are just stacked with wings. When his 3 ball was falling, he looked pretty good for a rookie. I think Cam needs to improve his handle, but he absolutely needs to be a plus shooter. I just don't think his skill set/mentality works without a solid shot.
This is going to piss him off. If you throw him there without telling him what he needs to improve then we're back at the 2 yard line. The development here is pistons tier.
His shooting slump is an even bigger problem than his tunnel vision right now. I'm not even sure if we should call it a slump because he's been a terrible shooter since second half of last season. Too long of a drought.
