But what about Kevin Sorbo and his scholarly work in constitutional law?

You could set a clock to your employment of ad hominem.

    Make a better argument!

But you will limit the thread to endorsement and refuse to consider candidacy itself.

    You're being unnecessarily disingenuous.

Most intelligent people don't give a damn what a celeb has to say about anything.

So some people here don’t get the Joe Rogan and podcasters advantage.
Their audience is very wide and it’s free to access their content mostly.

the podcasts are free flowing and usually a few hours long.
Trump went on these podcasts and talked for hours about many things. people can make their conclusions based on these long interviews.

Beyoncé and J low talking for 10 minutes
Says Nothing about Kamala’s personalities and thought process

Trump becomes more relatable to voters when he talks and reveals his thoughts on these long podcasts

vote for Kamala has been based on identity politics and no clear policies

So let me get this straight...

You find it necessary to make a point - sarcastic or otherwise.

    Your point is countered respectfully.

You find it unnecessary to respond to the counterpoint.

You find it necessary to make personal attacks, instead.

There is literally a word for that.

Before ... what? He was a celebrity self-promoter going all the way back to the 80s.

That was the point of @Tomstro's post. You are a good guy, and at least you usually do your research, but you are a bit like Spock. Humour gets lost with you.

If you ain't got nothing, you ain't got nothing to lose.

It wasn't funny to begin with. Not only that, but when previously confronted with his post's lack of both humor {spell it right, Euro!} and sense, he immediately bailed.

Dumb trolling does not a funny post make.

Edit for fun: if @durvasa is Spock, who is Kirk?

I pointed out that Trump was a celebrity reality TV star, and he says he was famous before The Apprentice. Not disagreeing with that, but so what? He's been a celebrity with high media exposure going back nearly 40 years. He is one of those people who is "famous for being famous" -- constantly trying to sell his name and brand so that people don't forget about him. And it worked -- he convinced half the country that he is somehow well-equipped to serve as President of the United States by manufacturing a "deal maker" persona. But it's all as fake as anything from Hollywood.

May I nominate @Nook for Dr. McCoy?
While I'm at it, @Xerobull might fit the roll of the Enterprise quite nicely.

    @FranchiseBlade as Nurse Chapel?

At the risk of coming across as self serving, I'm wondering if it would be okay with y'all if I cast myself as the role of Scotty, and @Buck Turgidson as Scotty's bottle? It seems only natural, given how much I love to wrap my lips around him...

Then again, casting anyone other than @MadMax as Scotty would be cultural appropriation... Still works, though.

I guess I could be Chekov if @rocketsjudoka is down to play Chekov's gun, since I also wanna bang him. But, as our resident Russian bot, @AroundTheWorld has to be Chekov!

    Wait a minute... I'm noticing a pattern...

Have I been Officer Sulu this HOLE time?

This is why Democrats lose: identity politics.

I apologize from the depths of the discarded shrapnel from my bris for derailing your thread, but ne'er must I deviate from the Prime Directive.

I think @deb4rockets might make a great Spock - unable to deviate from applying logic to every situation, even naively those to which it does not apply.

What do y'all think about @fchowd0311 as McCoy, whose passion and good intentions subject him to the occasional logical blind spot?

There really is no one else on the BBS Enterprise equipped with the harmonious balance of logic, intuition, instinct, charm, and sexual conquest that is Captain Kirk other than @Nook.

@B-Bob and @Deckard have earned captain status in their... Seniority. Pike?
