One must truly wonder what someone's perception of what "moderate" even remotely resembles when they come from a position of spamming 60 embedded Twitter links on a NBA team fan message board about how evil Muslims, leftists and trans people are.

Like I'm really curious what "moderate" looks like to you.

 

Well, thanks. I don't affiliate with a party; I try to look at the data, facts and reality and vote independently regardless of political tag.

You nailed it: the two-party system sucks. Had this conversation today; you have to pick A or B, both of which are crawling with things you don't agree with.

 

If this election has remined me of anything it's to listen to people and try to understand their point of view from their perspective. We all get caught up in bullshit. That's why a kick in the ass is good every now and then.

 

I don’t think that was as big of an issue compared to the democrat message not resonating with a core portion of voters especially when it came down to the economy

 

This election has reminded me that spamming hate content directed at powerless groups of people motivates a large chunk of our voting base to go out and vote for said candidate who loves scapegoating powerless groups of people.

The failure of the Democrats is not putting up even a fight to combat that scapegoating. Instead they bought into the right wing framing on immigration and their talking point was essentially about a bill being derailed due to political poo flinging rather than combating the entire narrative of an invasion at the border. Democrats are just lazy at rhetorical debate and actually defending principles.


Republican politicians hear the pains of the average citizen and tells them their pai is because of migrants and trans people.

Democrat politicians tell people the economy is humming and does not address the pain many voters feel and allowing right wing ghouls to sweep in and direct that pain and suffering towards powerless groups of people.

 

You might want to keep 'em indoors, so they won't end up on some Haitian grill.

 

It boggles my mind when people who support Trump get shocked and chagrined when being called a racist or fascist.

I'd have more respect if Trump supporters didn't do the tap dance of plausible deniability of racism.

There is nothing ever funny about when a person who has a coin flip chance of managing some of the worlds most powerful law enforcement entities in the planet making blood libel claims of entire ethnic groups.

What I find funny about this will be different to how you find this funny. I find it funny due to nihilism of understanding how ****ed we are when our country voted in a dude who does blood libel and you find this convo funny because you think the Hatian jokes in themselves are funny.

 

We're a big country from sea to shining sea. I don't think people with grievances changed much from the time Trump first took office.

Blue collars from flyovers still being overlooked. Being told learn to code sounds like a big fat joke now. If anything is different, it's how tech oligarchs bankrolled Trump to dull Kamalas spending lead.

Hmm given the you don't care about actual anti-semtisim and only care about defending the actions of a nation-state with nuclear arms and a conventional war machine this analogy might not work but this is like saying Jews lacked humor in Weimar Germany because they didn't find prominent politicians in Germany claiming that Jews steal gentile babies and drink their blood as funny and rather thought that rhetoric inflamed Germans to do things like ransack Jewish owned businesses.

 

Ya man if a loser like you who doesn't have much clout or impact on society were the only ones doing the blood libel rather than the actual dude whose about to head the executive branch of the US government then I'd lighten up about it.
