Again, people on visa do not have the same level of free speech rights, and no, it is absolutely not a terrible idea to deport supporters of terrorism.

Yeah, hiding behind law doesn't mean it should be done though. There is a history of bad law and I'd say this is one. Which is why it hasn't been done. It's not good optics. It's not good law.

One moment Trump is saying we just want to get rid of the illegal immigrants and then the next he's deporting the legal ones...not good Optics. You can say "It is law" but you don't know this country well if you think that's going to go over well with young voters.

They lost their legal status the moment they supported a terrorist organization.

    Your stance is baffling.

Hamas and Hezbollah slaughtered thousands of innocent civilians.

Kicking someone out who supports them is not "bad optics".

There are laws that the USA doesn't enforce, like the noted Comstock Act, which might become relevant soon.

So the whole "It's law" argument just fails to me, there are many zombie laws in the country that are not enforced because it is bad law.

I think it is bad law to deport legal immigrants, especially when the guy doing it is someone who said he just wants to get rid of the illegal ones. That's just me.

Someone can correct me but I've never seen someone deported because of something they've said in this country. Seems like a bad precedent to set to me.

I read your post there with the law, it is talking about 'Aliens'.

Aliens are people here unofficially, not people on visas.

People on visas by definition are not aliens. Only if you overstay your visa.

If you say so, I've looked it up this entire time and it only refers to aliens as someone being here illegal. I see nothing supporting that position that it would apply to students on visa.

Any ways, I'm gonna watch the Rockets lol. You guys are getting a little overzealous, you're going to lose your punk rock conservative movement the moment you start banning speech. People won't care about some vague law they will just see good people who came here legally to study and better their life get kicked out of the country for attending a rally.

If it happens it'll be such a benefit for the democratic party, it'll be a gift from heaven, like the Roe ruling before the last mid terms.

I feel like it wouldn't be much of a mandate without the house. It would still be a very strong victory though.

Yeah if this holds and the Dems win congress that's absolutely not a mandate.

They are still receiving them even.
I was so confused too. Neither is getting close to those totals. It will get way closer, but hard to see her winning the popular vote

That isn't a clear endorsement of terrorist activities. Intifada can exist without terrorism.
