this is just too much. I've written on numerous occasions about the problems with the Dept of Education and higher ed, for example the overreach of Obama and then Biden on Title IX guidance ("dear colleague letters"). The Dept of Education is absolutely the poster child of a federal bureaucracy that has grown too large and is constantly in search of solutions for which there are no real problems. The Dept of Education deserves to be cut, and anyone who has given it a minute's thought--Democrat OR Republican--should be aware of the very real problems with that agency.
The goal should be to break up education in this society into smaller profit driven motives where the goal of education isn't for long term health of a society but quarterly return on investment. That show we fix education. By a quarterly investment report at a time.
How dystopian. People have gotten their news from a variety of sources for centuries all with their own biases. It's not like newspapers in the 1930s didn't have biases left or right. It's incumbent on the people to understand that and decipher the truth. Not create a "ministry of truth" at the government - which, you know, will be biased itself.
Yep, that's exactly it. All people needed to hear is what she would do about it, it doesn't even have to be a good idea, sell it, run it. Instead she ran on that she'd just continue what Biden did because Biden was great. And the numbers show that he was, but the real issue, the wages, the wealth gap, that doesn't go away. People don't care about stocks going up, about inflation numbers, they just know they work all day every day and can't afford anything and want it to change.
Like I said, liberals blame CNN for trump too. Both sides hate CNN, tells me they try to be equal. I don't know how many of yall actually watch CNN? They ALWAYS have both sides equally represented on their network. The people on CNN that praise liberals...are liberals. Then they'll cut to a conservative to counter that. That's literally CNN.
The Department of Education certainly has not made people wise to the fact that everything is expensive now because they printed a ****ton of money in 2020.
Yes, they usually have one (1) token conservative on an editorial panel. Fox does or has traditionally done the same thing. You're missing the point. Look at all the hosts. All leftists. Anderson Cooper, Jake Tapper, Don Lemon etc etc... these are left wing people. Look at the panels... David Axelrod, Van Jones... usually 4/5 members of a panel are Democrats. What stories are presented, how are they framed, what stories are prominent or highlighted... all with left wing bias.
It isn't a simple question to answer - and information no longer just comes from one form of media. Fox News is the obvious one - but that also extends into all of the purchases made by Murdock, such as Wall Street Journal. He literally owns hundreds of local stations, papers and other media outlets. There is also Sinclair Broadcasting, which is massive and they are clearly conservative. Sinclair also owns a lot of local ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates and controls and has a history of not broadcasting some things it views as liberal media. There is also News Corp - which is separate from Fox and has massive amounts of ownership of print and digital content. There is also a very strong presence of conservative content online and in podcasts. It is a popular talking point to say that the media is liberal - but really, there is a strong amount of conservative media and content out there - as people like Murdock have purchased it and pushed it be right wing. Hell - he was very close to owning Time Warner as well.
CNN certainly is left wing. They will attempt to be unbiased - but the majority of decision makers and those reporting the news are some degree of liberal.
I know in California, there are so many places that that don't even have the ballots delivered even today. Then once they all get delivered the counting and verification take time. I'm not sure about Washington.
