The numbers are painting a really odd story. Even though turnout was obviously way down overall from 2020 levels, it was actually still quite high in the 7 swing states. So it's kind of contradictory in a sense. Democratic turnout was high where it needed to be, but Trump's turnout was simply higher. The low turnout in the not competitive states is costing Democrats in Congress. Sherrod Brown being the most notable casualty so far. The Democrats can still take the House, but it's gonna be an insanely slim margin if they do.
Not to mention that Kamala actually showed how easy it was to control Trump: 1) Flatter him, and he'll give you whatever you want 2) Bring up one of his many red button topics (crowd size for example) and he loses the narrative of the discussion.
Can you please do me the favor of admitting that Trump would not if the roles were reversed, and acknowledge how insanely dangerous and ****ed up that is?
but both parties got more votes in 2020..... 15-20% more each no? why point out just one part of the graph?
I know I would've been tagged about 10x if Kamela would have won but I am taking the high road. She did a fair job with a very tough task. Biden dealt her a tough hand.
We won't know the final count til probably the end of the week. Could be as high as 312 or as low as 286. All we know is mathematically trump won. I'm very curious to see what the actual margin ends up in the vote count. As in, what is the minimum number of votes that would have needed to flip to change the election via the EC.
Very good point. As I've stated before, winning the Presidency is like having home court advantage. Sometimes its needed. Sometimes it isn't. Ultimately Congress is the big stick in the room. Anyone who claims democracy is lost because their candidate didn't win hasn't taken a grade level civics class or has conveniently forgotten how this country is run. Or just an idiot. (why not all three?) The Harris campaign was more concerned about her winning the election than making sure the Democrat party stayed healthy. Its comedically obvious the DNC is extremely fractured at this point. We saw the same thing in 2008 with the Republicans. The question is whether Democrat voters will demand a populist president or continue to let the now defunct regime continue. As of late, I have been really focused on listening to JD Vance podcasts. I haven't picked up anything great but he hasn't said anything terrible. He is a good candidate to transition from the old ppl regime to a youthful candidate.
Yeah sure. Lol You woke clowns will never learn and that’s why you will be irrelevant politically for years to come.
