So for most of the elections Democrats campaigned as did Republicans. It was a battle where both sides were competing. This year, Democrats are spending little time and effort in the state, so it makes sense that they wouldn't win Miami-Dade. It also makes sense that losing it isn't a harbinger of doom and destruction.
