How exactly are people reporting "turnout" already? All we should have numbers on are mail ballots and early votes. Anecdotes about lines and wait times don't really mean ****.

The founders of the real BLM from Ferguson all died. The ones at the heart of the protest. Rolling Stone did a story on it years ago. Hes the only one saying it. Basically everywhere else, Republicans are trouncing Dems for voting day.
They might be looking at which parties have turned in ballots. It doesn't give you an exact makeup of who voted for whom, but does give a nice idea of general support.

How exactly do you identify "which parties have turned in ballots"? I've never heard of that happening until far after the election is over.
I read (on The Internets, so it must true) that 71 million voted early either by mail or in person. Experts expect another 70-80 million ED voters today. Guessimates on early voters: 58% Harris / 42% Trump. Guessimates on ED voters: 53% Trump / 47% Harris. Doing math with those percentages favors Harris. This could be 100% Hopium of the Ds part.

Best I can see if they take the number of early and/or mail votes and crossrefence that with 2020 numbers and hope there's a 1:1 correlation between the two and how turnout ended up in 2020 VS what it will be in 2024. Still shaky at best.
