The thing you're missing is Trump doesn't pretend the events like McDonalds weren't staged, but what his campaign doesn't do is pretend everything is spontaneous. Kamala is trying to fake moments as if they're authentic. Like her walking into that sandwich shop in PA but not before her campaign kicked everyone out and then pretending to have "moments" with people eating there who were just actors.
