Sengun scared to play badly in front of his dad. wholesome. i love him. no pause.

 

Amen Thompson is a ridiculous talent, if he's ever able to develop a 3 defenders respect he's first team all NBA level. His defense on Brunson was dominant

Glad to see Alpi look like himself again, and Sheppard finally starting to involve himself a little and not being so passive.

 

Best game Rockets played this year. Green struggled but made several key winning plays late again continuing his trend. Sengun played great and good effort on defensive end. Reed Amen and Tari effective as well.

 

Right now he is playing defense like Rodman with the Pistons and I am not exaggerating. He is the best defender the Rockets have at 4 of 5 positions on the floor.

 

This is why you draft players like Amen, he's such a unicorn type of player, does everything on the courtt...except shoot.

His defense though at times is amazing. He put the clamps on Brunson multiple times. It was beautiful to watch, Brunson basically never felt confident in his floater or middie game because Amen was there and if he switches...well there is Brooks, there is Tari, Even Green.

Offense has major issues, they need a go to offense, but the defense can be special.

Green affected the game without scoring. It’s what we need from him when his shot isn’t falling

 

Vintage Alpi tonight! Amen was insane defensively, and I also liked the Reed minutes (though his shot is off). Jalen made the last two 3's, but overall was chucking relentlessly all game.

Nice win, on to the next.

 

Great win. We should be able to win it easier if we can knock down some open 3s.

 

And honestly...they should be passing it to him around the rim more. When he is involved in any kind of play whatsosever, offense or defense, something good happens.

 

1000% his defense is amazing most nights.

Even if he never become at least an average shooter he's still going to be a great player but if he does? It was worth the risk drafting him. He's out of control sometimes for sure but its his 2nd year so I'm fine with that.
