You have summed up this election in four sentences.

 

"Lost" is really about expectations. Some groups aren't voting in traditional blocs anymore so a 20% "defection" seems yuge.

To the greater point, the ME has always been a quagmire. Our fingerprints are all over there so it's only bound to spread here as demographics change and grow older.

With the Jewish vote, I think it's more about feeling abandoned by the far left (college protestors) and knowing Trump would enable Israel far more than w/e Biden is doing now, which is their right as voters.

I don't know enough to guess what Palestinians are thinking in the long term...

 

First, we don't actually know how many Muslims are not going to vote for Harris - same for black people. Likewise, we don't really know how many conservative women will vote for Harris. In the past there were polls that showed GWB would get a big decent chunk of black voters and it did not happen. Doesn't mean it won't - but until it happens we don't actually know.

Religious Muslims naturally would support the modern conservative Republican party in 2024 - Republicans are not as social liberal, they are more oppressive to homosexuals, women etc. The only reason that religious Muslims would support Democrats is if they believe that Republicans will be oppressive to them - but the reality is that the Biden/Harris administration has largely let Israel do what it wants and has defended Israel when they have been attacked.

We will see what happens - I suspect some Jews and Muslims will leave Harris, but not as many as right wing media claims. Likewise - I think that a lot of white women are going to still vote for Trump.

As someone who spent a decade in Omaha (love that town) I can tell you Iowa is a white man`s conservative heaven and IF true that would make trump`s head explode. If Harris takes Iowa, which I doubt will happen, the gop should seriously look at what they're pushing out to America..........Iowa should be a gop slam-dunk like Florida. I will be watching Iowa tomorrow night very closely, it could be a sign of things to come
