Yes they will, but it’s the price you pay to protect your future. If Stroud gets hurt or is hit too much it could punt the franchise back 4-5 years.

CJ has showed us elite play. He can play horrid the rest of this year and next before the team would consider looking a different direction in 2026/27. One first or second round pick isn’t going to kill you. You can’t punt a rookie deal year.

Really hate that the Titans hired Bill Callahan's son... Bill is one of the best offensive line coaches in the business, turned Cleveland into a top tier line, left last offseason to help his son and Cleveland's line fell off a cliff...

We need a bandaid this season, get us to at least mediocre, but this offseason we better go offensive line coach shopping and open the checkbook. It's insane we're trying to get our 2nd year elite signal caller killed behind this sad excuse for an offensive line. CJ is still on his rookie contract, spend some money even if it's a slight overpay at this point for some vets to shore this **** up.

Yeah, CJ has shown multiple times that he can be an elite Allen/Mahomes/Burrow level QB when in a proper offense. If you have to overpay during his rookie contract to keep him upright and from developing bad habits, you do that.

The best time to make sure the offensive line was good was during the offseason, the second best time is right now.

trade for Jarrett Kingston (CAR) + sign Ricky Stromberg (SFA)
bring in true ZBS disciple OL coach (John Benton / Rick Dennison)
possible other trade candidate: Dylan Parham (LV)

Both John and Rick are working for Kubiack's son in new orleans. Stromberg's knee isn't 100% yet but yeah I'd sign him and let him rehab here and he'd probably beat out both Scruggs and Patterson for starting center and he can play both guard positions but we need a "right now" guy.

Yep... I said in another thread the Aints ;) are probably cleaning house this off-season (Ben Johnson?). So we may even be able to secure Klint, John, AND Rick - with some Gary sprinkled in as "an advisor".

Did not know about Stromberg's knee - but I like your plan.

I think Parham & Kingston can help us win now / provide depth.

I kind of think Kendrick Green or Patterson can help us win this year - just not Kenyon (besides his run blocking).

How right you were. We should be able to get Rick back, he's just a consultant for them

Rick, are you talking about Rick Smith?

If you want a guy to chase tail around the office and embrace incompetence then Tricky Ricky is your guy. If they bring Tricky Ricky back I'm done with this franchise and probably the NFL. I would feel the same way about this if they brought back BOB.

They've got a good thing going on down on Kirby, no need to live in the mediocrity of the past.

Have the Texans done ANYTHING about their offensive line problems? The time for talking has long passed. Do something! Also, when is Nico coming back? If the team that played the Jets shows up against the Lions, it is not going to be pretty.
