I read that article and it doesn’t say fluoride shouldn’t be added just that less should. In the article it notes that the level Of recommended fluoride in water has already changed a few times. Also it notes that the level of lower IQ is very low. By around 2-5 points. Given that IQ tests are already have a lot of subjectivity that is a very small change. On the other side Fluoridation of water has been extensively studied for 60 plus years and had has shown a significant improvement in dental health. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6195894/ Over the past 60 years, research studies conducted in several countries were remarkably consistent in demonstrating substantial reductions in caries prevalence as a result of water fluoridation. Prior to 1990, around 113 studies on the effectiveness of artificial water fluoridation were conducted in 23 countries, and recorded a modal percent caries reduction of 40~50% in primary teeth and 50~60% in permanent teeth. More recent systematic reviews summarizing the extensive data have confirmed that water fluoridation substantially reduces the prevalence and incidence of dental caries in primary and permanent teeth (14). Another review of studies conducted between 1990 and 2010 in 10 countries on individuals ranging from 3 to 44 years of age reported average caries reductions of 30~59% and 40~49% in primary and permanent teeth, respectively (14). The fluoride action in the prevention of dental caries was predominantly posteruptive and topical (14).
He owes just about every city that he's had rallies in, money. That's why he's able to have so many. He just doesn't pay the bills. He has a business history of doing the same thing. He's a charlatan that has declared bankruptcy over and over again, and can't even pay his bills. I just don't see how anyone can think he is able to lead an economy.
This is probably his biggest con. So many people just cite that he’s a business man without knowing what his business record was.
That's if you strip away the despicable person that he is. You know, the rapist, pedophile, misogynist, callous person that he is, in general. Just not the type of person I want my kids to think of as a leader. I'd vote for a shoe over him, to be honest. I think there are many more like me.
And many of his supporters say he’s a terrible person but they rationalize it by saying they are voting for president and not a role model. I guess I’m so old I remember when President was considered a role model. I definitely remember Republicans excoriating Clinton and saying things like “character matters.”
@Scarface281 needs to read the article he posted more carefully. He even bolded the damn thing for us lol. Fluoride levels at twice the recommendation could potentially lower IQ. Federal recommendations are at 0.7 mg/L. So the US has been below the 1.5 mg/L levels for decades. So what exactly is the issue? Apparently the issue is isolated to a small percentage of the population that we have to worry about it and do something to ensure they aren't exposed with water that contains more than 1.5 mg/L. So @Scarface281 we don't need ****ing RFK to go nuclear and **** up something that has been good for the population. He just needs to figure out how to ensure those 1.9 million people don't continue to be exposed to more than the current recommended levels. In conclusion, current levels are okay, we need to be careful with those exposed to higher levels since it can lead to issues based on these studies.
i live in one of the most liberal small towns on the east coast, if not the entire country. our water is not fluoridated.
Alright, that's cool. Not sure what your point is. Almost three quarters of the US population still drink water that is fluoridated. https://www.americashealthrankings.org/explore/measures/water_fluoridation
Donald Trump said Sunday that he wouldn’t “mind” if someone had to “shoot through the fake news” to get to him, a further escalation of his violent rhetoric. The former president, speaking at a rally here about the efforts the Secret Service has taken to protect him after two apparent assassination attempts against him, began pointing out the panes of ballistic glass surrounding him at the outdoor venue. “All we really have over here is the fake news, right? And to get me somebody would have to shoot through the fake news,” Trump said. “And I don’t mind that so much.”
who TF should listen to those people? They push for war and more war but refuse to actually fight themselves. Perhaps they all have bonesuprs??
Seriously though. Is there anything lower than pushing for war but not defending yourself and making others do it? Lowest of the low.
typical MAGAt cowardly scum behavior…couldn’t step to a man, so sucker punched an old lady instead With election day just three days away, a teenager and apparent supporter of former President Donald Trump was arrested here Saturday at a rally in support of Vice President Kamala Harris and charged with punching a 70-year-old woman in the stomach. A 17-year-old boy — wearing a T-shirt featuring an image of Trump raising his middle finger in front of an American flag background — punched the Harris supporter, knocking her off her feet, according to police and the woman, Stuart resident Kathleen Tomasko. According to witnesses, Bossio said, the 17-year-old was walking away from a separate altercation with a male Harris supporter when he struck Tomasko and knocked her to the ground. Tomasko said she did nothing to provoke the 17-year-old and she did not hear him say anything to her. In fact, she didn't even see him coming, she said. "I'm standing there and people are moving and this kid just turned around and he punched me. I don't know where he came from," Tomasko said. "He punched me in the gut and knocked me on the ground, and I fell back and hit the ground. Thank goodness the two ladies were behind me so I didn't hit my head."
