Yeah thatcs probably the real reason he got benched. Act like a petulant child, get treated like one.

 

It's a ****ing mystery how the starters who couldn't generate any offense whatsoever....failed to generate any offense in overtime. If only this could've been foreshadowed earlier in the game.

 

Jalen, FVV, and Udoka deserve the criticism for tonight. Hell of a wasted comeback, but what a frustrating game. Sengun is clearly not right either. I'm not sure what's going on there, but somethings obviously off. Oh well, it's just one game.

 

The infatuation with FVV needs to stop.

Why Cam Whitmore only played 4 mins but FVV and Jalen Green were allowed a brick fest for 40 mins?

I agree with Sil@ss, and I agreed from year 1 of Sil@ss he sucked and had to go. It was even more egregious when he got Jalen and Sengun on year 2, career malpractice. I also agree that time is precious in the NBA. That being said, Ime is teaching the guys good things overall, even if I question his rotations and remains one of the better coaches in the NBA.

Perhaps you will get it better if I cuss and put lots of words in ALL CAPS? Meh, nevermind, maybe you'll get it in another 3 years.

 

I will say this stretch of games was rough. Playoff teams after playoff team (except Charlotte), so to be 3-3 is cool with me.

Bad coaching lost this one though. Hopefully the team can stop putting themselves in these big holes.

 

They were on him like white on rice. Not making an excuse for him, but it was obvious they wanted to shut down the most explosive player. He's got to get use to it and make better decisions in those situations. Also needs to hit when he's open. There were several times when he was off ball and received it and passed off. A shooter needs to shoot when open and know when to get it out quickly when smothered. He'll learn.

 

We played this horrible Fred 38 minutes per game is a joke.

 

Yeah. Lots has been bandied about regarding Sengun keeping pace but FVV again with a 40mpg performance akin to driving with the e-brake pulled up. As the late, great Mitch Hedberg put it... "the emergency make stuff smell funny lever". It's smelly man. It's real smelly.

 

Yes, they forced Jalen to get rid of the ball but he let it get to him. That's what teams are going to do to a guy who is smoking whole defenses who can't distribute the rock to win. Jalen can make some plays but there's always a next level and his next level is when a team says "anybody but you" that he knows exactly who "anybody" is and where "anybody" is for their looks.

 

You dont agree that time is too precious cuz youre saying EVENTUALLY all coaches get fired. That isnt my point lol Imagine if the Suns had stayed put because it was just one year. They wouldnt look the way they look now. In the NBA you change or you die. Sentimentality gets you nowhere in the long run. KPJ, SIlas and now Ime all a big waste of time. Jalen and Sengun need a guy who can post sengun up and effectively run cuts around him getting better looks for jalen. the guys overall need someone who will make the right decisions no matter who their favorites are. Ime has already demonstrated thats not him. I dont think the rockets get anywhere significant with him. he is living off of tatum and browns names. But yes he is better than SIlas but all coaches in the NBA are lol

 

Woulda been nice if we didnt spend years training KPJ as a point guard instead of Jalen.

 

Can we send Fred back to Toronto?

 

Dillon needs to be traded and Eason needs those minutes. Watching Dillon dribble the air out of the ball on so many possessions is maddening.

 

Senguini sucks and Ime wants Giannis. Let's see when this trade happens.

 

we might be watching the modern era of JVG. defense is there. offense is just WTF........

My biggest complaint is that the young guys don’t know how to play the tactical game AT ALL. It’s like they don’t even know there is a tactical game going on. They need the coaches to think for them.

Tonight, the Warriors blitzed and zoned up the back side. The Hornets played a deep drop. The Spurs gapped aggressively on every post up and paint touch.

Every time, our players get completely stymied and hesitate, and make the wrong decisions over and over and it kills any flow and turns into CTE-ball.

When a team plays drop, the handler has to shoot. When they blitz the PnR, you lob it to the big who short rolls into a 4v3. When they pack the paint, you draw help, kick, and shoot. When they play a 2-3 zone you put a guy at the FT line in the middle of the zone.

These aren’t optional. It’s just what you have to do. Make or miss, you have to do it, or you lose.

It’s like our players have only ever played against our own switching defense in practice and when an opponent does something else they’re dumbfounded.

I don’t know whether to blame Ime or the 22 year olds.

I don’t like to lose but i absolutely hate losing to the warriors. Losing to them brings out the worst in me. I literally cuss and wish them the worst. It makes no sense any more considering their talent level is inferior at this point. Teams should be stomping on them steph or not at this point but especially without steph. Ugh soo effing frustrated. That said… a helluva comeback.
