Role players do that. Thats why they are role players. Ben Mclemore could drop 28 or 23 one game but he would be 2-13 the next 3 games. Jalen is basically that at the beginning of every season. This is the first season he didn't start that way but I was hesitant to agree with all the circle jerks over jalen on X. Its way to early for that. He has to show me way more than he has before I can trust him as anything more than a streaky role player. The Rockets know it too thats why he has that contract. stone isnt perfect but she's not dumb. look at kpj's contract that looks' genius now lol

 

the thing is Ime doesn't scheme well enough for the Rockets physicality to not be at peak levels every game. It's the reason Rockets played so well to start the season last year then crashed out because their bodies couldn't keep it up for a full season

however if the Rockets played physical to start they wouldnt have had to come back form 30 down.

 

Its weird that Ime said he didn't even notice Sengun had gone to the locker room...

It seemed almost more dismissive than ignorant.

 

If it’s true that Sengun pouted on the bench then he should not have played

 

After three years of 20 win seasons with Silas, we finally have a coach who has the team playing worth half a damn, and already half the board wants him fired. Never change, Clutchfans…

 

Kinda hard to play physical when you get whistled for 32 fouls and they shoot 59 free throws...

 

Rockets would have been even more reliant on harden. At least this time there is a chance the young guys can become the face of this team

 

naw we were playing like assholes to start despite the reffing.

 

He was celebrating and high fiving to begin the fourth and as he realized he wasn't going to get put back in you could tell his mood changed but I'd hardly say he was pouting. Just wasn't as animated in the celebrations.

Which is understandable because the comeback started in third and he as playing well. So he thought he'd get an opportunity.

I hope he looks himself in the mirror and asks himself is he really rewarding good play or is he doing the stupid coach thing where every coach has that 'comfort' player.

That's FVV for Ime. It's like comfort food for a coach where no matter what they will ride that player out and sometimes a GM has to step in and take that comfort player away or the player has to get injured so where the coach sees hey...the team can compete without him on the floor.

The Harden thing would have been okay if he accepted a 1 or 2 year deal which he would not.

Man I absolutely loathe Aaron Holiday's rec league ass game but there's little question that he helped that comeback by being what Fred seems to have forgotten how to do and that's being a steady point. I mean he was actually directing and tossing passes, like a guard or something.

Even if Sengun was pouting so what? He’s justified in doing that. FVV and Green can chuck 4 for 25 or whatever and still get all the playing time in the world. The momentum was lost when Ime took out Tari and Reed for FVV and Brooks. And FVV and Green in OT were garbage, would have been better playing Tari ISO every possession.

 

Harden still gives me PTSD. I just know dude gonna let me down. I want someone else to let me down this time.

 

By the way Refs also did hell job put his fav team on the line 50 times
