Chandsome and Danny Green agree with each other on who the franchise player is (they also love Jalen). Danny Green says Alpi is the next Jokic.
they will be wrong on green. You can’t find a lot of scorers who are open to learning and improving on defense. And you can’t find a lot of scorers with this athleticism.
Yes, I hope so, as a Rockets fan! Keep it up, Jalen! But it's also not like they said Jalen is bad - they said they love him and he is very good. They just seemed to think "Senguini" is so unique...the next Jokic. They said Alpi is the franchise player. Chandler also said he cannot believe Alpi didn't get the full max - he said he would have given him whatever he wanted.
I haven't seen the tweets, but we are probably talking about one or two people. It would be silly to generalize against all Turkish Sengun fans based on that.
There was an SJC, and before that a DTT. ATW is trying to change his screen name again, but not sure how to get the attention of the boss.
I didn't generalize anybody. The Turkish Alpi fans who called Udoka xenophobic are themselves xenophobic idiots. To be clear: I have no problem with Turkish AOFs (Alpi-only fans), just the ones that post idiotic, lunatic stuff.
Yes, I didn't mean to say you did. Just in general - most Turkish Alpi fans I have been following on Twitter seem knowledgable and respectful to me. Accusing Ime of xenophobia is, of course, nonsense.
Udoka is really very traditional and belongs to a different era. You can't bench Sengun like that when the whole team is horrible except for Tari. This is not hard coaching or holding accountable, this is just stupid. All the team sucked, and relatively Sengun sucked less. The leaders you brought in, fvv and brooks, show no leadership at all. There is a difference coaching hard and coaching by showing unnecessary authority and discipline. This is not going to end well.
Alpi: 3-6, 4 rebs, 1 ast, 1 blk in 8:38 minutes Rest of starters: 3-22 in a combined 60 minutes Ime: Benches and scapegoats Alpi
This is why I am saying we need to trade Sengun. If our coach can look at the first half and think "we have to get Sengun out of the game, that's our way back into this thing" then they are just not compatible. It's not about scapegoating, Ime just sees the game in a different way. Philosophically it's just too different. This team would be better off with a $150 million dollar guy that has an Ime skillset.
Getting rid of udoka is a possible solution too. I don't see him very promising either. I would rather bet on sengun than udoka.
