Surprised there’s no separate thread for this, but his nasty fall on his back might still be lingering: I don’t need the typical “no excuses” in here, just legitimate analysis and discussion if he could be actually injured, how you’ve seen it with particular moves and how bad it could potentially be (similar falls by other players). I feel like at times he definitely seems more stiff, unable to be the agile snake we know he can be. Other times he just seems fine. I doubt it’s too serious, but he definitely is playing through some pain and lower back pain is no joke when it comes to jumping, ability to put up resistance, get into the right stance and definitely affects the shot. This could explain the shots being short more often than not.
he doesn’t seem to have his normal lift and his leaning back shot, which is consistent with a back injury.
They are already playing, they can play more for sure but Jeff and Landale aren’t getting any run and could help fill in for Sengun.
Mystery injury kept no 17 off the team for one whole season. he is still not his old self. similar to no 28. forcing with a mystery injury. as if these are playoff games. seriously, some staff should be fired.
Playing against Edey has that effect on players. Let him sit (don't Kawhi Leonard him). I like our chances with Steven Adams and Jock Landale, anyway
If lower back pain or stiffness is why Alpi's efficiency on offense has dropped off so much, I'm relieved. Hopefully it's not a serious or lingering problem. Why are some of you blaming the Rockets?
