he’s clearly lost a step no longer has the same burst to get by his man nor the hang time to finish in the paint, on the wrong side of 30

the difference in how much quicker and spry reed looks whenever he checks in is stark

Yall are doing the SAME thing you did to Jalen last year. Fred is fine & will be there when it counts

Being a midget his finishing at the rim was often around lower 40%.....

The thing is if he can still shoot a decent number from outside which he was known for in Toronto.

    Steady Freddy, man.

he was always a streaky shooter in TOR too so maybe his shot comes back soon. but i don’t expect him to ever get back to allstar level again

Dude, he was an All Star but I doubt he was among the Top 15 brightest ones, he was end of the bench.

Lone season. Great enough stats one season alone.

Defense. It looked like Dallas was hunting Fred quite a bit. Reed would have really been hunted in extended minutes. I want to see him get at least 15 mpg. Dallas is just a tough matchup for smaller guards.

Exactly, but his awareness has been very poor at times and that needs to improve. But his issues are part of a larger problem, which is the lack of an offensive system. He’s also adjusting since he’s less involved and Green can finally handle more PG duties.

As long as harden still exist in this league, the harden haters would support fvv to the very end.

This man sucks as our pg, only thing he's good at is holding on to the ball and taking it down the court with few turnovers. Streaky 3 pt. Playmaking ability is laughable.

He’s a solid sixth man for a contender, but that’s about it. If a serious team is giving him more than 30 minutes a game, they’re not really contenders. There's just no way you we win playoff series with him. $42,846,615 is a daylight robbery for "leadership"

Lmao I dislike both but for various different reasons, I only back him now is because I have one iota respect for Ime Udoka and what he did to turn this team around.

I would like to have Jalen Brunson as well but that is not realistic for now.

Not sure about Green and PG duties. He played well overall last night, but these turnovers in the first half made me pull my hair out.

We still need him but Udoka has to do a better job keeping him in check. He goes into this strange iso mode for 5-10 posessions straight

I agreed with you until you said Reed looks better lmfao.

Sheppard is a scrub looks lost out there and can't do anything on the court. We started winning when he started sitting and thats just a fact.

Kinda crazy but I'm actually thinking Trae Young could be our upgrade next season.

FVV contract is not guaranteed Atlanta can use him and trade or cut him to save capspace. We can give up the PHX picks, FVV and maybe Whitmore and Sheppard for Young and I think thats a fair deal.

Young is bad defensively but he'll be going to our team which is the 3rd ranked defense. Offensively he would be the answer to Udoka's lack of coaching cus Young knows how to run an offense.

Reed absolutely does not look better than FVV, but I'd argue he does less damage with his shot selection. They have the opposite problem. If Reed hunted his shots like Freddy does, that would be great because Reed is a good shooter and Fred is not. Reed is absolutely not ready for NBA minutes though, not right this second.

I know everyone will hate it, but I think Tate should get some of Freddy's minutes. He has initiated the offense at times during our tank seasons, and he's switchable 1-5, so he'd basically offer what Fred is right now, starting the offense and mediocre shooting, but with better size, tempo, and defense.

Tate shouldnt be on the court unless somebody is injured.

We got Amen, we got Jalen, we got Whitmore, we got Tari. These guys should be getting the minutes from FVV. Amen can facilitate like FVV, Whitmore serves as a one man offense and Jalen can do both. Tari isnt a playmake but you can put him at sg and have Amen or JG at pg and it will work out.
