You gain something and you lose something.

Grant is not a tough player either, his rebounds are listed at 5 rpg and only 2 assists per game.

You gain shooting and scoring and lose rebounding.

A trade off. I would prefer a Malik Monk type.

Rockets still need shooting. They also need a guy who just makes his own O. Someone else you can give the ball to and it's just like look out, he's about to carry this.

Give it some time. The team is still getting fluid on offense. Green and Sengun will start to have big games together more often. Jabari is going to be left open a lot more and he's figuring out his role a lot better. At the 10-15 game mark, watch him start to drain catch and shoot jumpers like crazy.

That's the 3rd scorer we need - an absolutely deadly catch and shoot guy. Gives you 20 relatively efficient points and excellent spacing, barely needs the ball. Sengun and Green will take care of the rest.

What do you all think? I would tend to agree to balance out the team even more ...

The problem is that Portland isn't trying to get better, they are trying to get draft picks. You put Jabari and Brooks in their starting lineup and that is an improved team. They don't want improvement, they want picks. Generally speaking, a positive value player (not even a superstar) should net you one FRP for each year left on his contract. I can assure you that anyone inquiring about Grant is going to get a price of no less than three picks. Because we have Amen waiting in the wings, losing Brooks and replacing Jabari with Grant would make us better immediately. But the leverage we have over the Suns means that our picks have more value than Grant. We need to be patient rather than going for the quick fix.

Jabari and Brooks can surprise you.

If you want the reverse effect, go with Dante, Holiday, Jeenate and Cam still in his infant stage.

For more salaries Landale, Tate, Amen or Sheppard.

The dream is Jokic wanting out. What denver has done to him is criminal and he should ask to be moved. Something like sengun, cam, 5-6 1sts would probably get us in the conversation unless OKC decides to give it all up for him.

Would PROBABLY offer 2 of either Amen, Tari or Cam plus 2-3 1sts (all the Suns picks and swaps?) for a chance at Flagg.

    @saleem

Looks like our Bilal Coulibaly is playing too good. Wiz probably keeping him long term.

    Find me another hidden gem

Fox is also who I think we should ultimately target. Some of the higher level guys like LaMelo/Luka/Giannis/etc. aren’t likely to be available but ironically Fox is building a house here in Cypress and hasn’t signed his extension yet.

From my view, I would be willing to part with any variation of Bari/Whitmore/VanVleet and picks. I know on the surface this doesn’t seem like as big of a move as it sounds but think about it. Jalen is a younger way more dynamic fully realized version of Monk. Alperen is gonna be a better Sabonis looking at his current trajectory and age. Jalen and DeAaron could form a formidable two-way backcourt with their speed and athleticism. This move could provide huge dividends especially if Jalen continues to play as this level. Home run move in my eyes.

Whilst I agree, you'd almost certainly need a new coach to maximise on that roster. Fox/Jalen/Amen/Tari/Sengun could be lethal with the right coach, but Ime'd just have Fox and Jalen doing the same tired/obvious basic pick and roll action with Alpi that doesn't maximise any of the players. We'd be even quicker and more athletic than we already are too which is insane.

Exactly, I like your take on this and similar to what I envision…Fox’s speed, ball handling, and play making at the PG position could really help us play faster and maximize our youth and athleticism. Plus I think the Kings would value picks more than players so we wouldn’t have to gut the whole team in my opinion.

Maybe they could bring in an offensive assistant that could take the offense to that next level and implement something that fits our team. I like Ime and the tone he sets with the team as a head coach but he doesn’t have to know or be strong in everything, just build your staff appropriately.

I was very surprised that the Wiz gave up Avidja so easily to the Blazers. I don't think the Blazers will trade him.

If they trade Giannis, they better get some young, solid players in return, because they don’t have any young players OR draft picks.
