Then in the week or so from Oct 23 to yesterday, it climbed even more sharply from $35 to $51. Today, the stock plummeted 20 percent, or $11 per share. The company has not changed one iota in this period, and the stock price is a direct reflection of people’s expectations about whether Trump will win the election. It will be fascinating to see how the stock price moves before the election. I suspect that the wealthy/market makers pushed Republican polls showing Trump with increasing lead, as well as betting markets. For example, I wonder how much DJT stock Peter Theil owns. I have read many articles that say the Republican leaning polls will start moderating their predictions toward a toss up in the days ahead, so that they won’t end up losing credibility on Election Day and thereafter. It will also be interesting to see if that happens.
