Probably will have to settle for a 1yr deal. Hopefully Texans will bring him back. He and Mixon added something different to this team.
I hope so to, he is not the Diggs of 5 years ago, but he has developed as a leader and motivator. He has been mostly a possession receiver, but I hope he comes back.........
Diggs missed 10 games in his first 9 seasons, then comes to Houston and misses 10 in one season. SMH He looked like an average #2 WR at best, so not a huge loss.
I don't think this is as big a blow as others. I think the receiving game has struggled due to the combo of no Collins and the protection issues, not because the guys simply aren't good enough. The passing game last season never fell apart without Diggs, and that's with Dell/Nico missing time. If Nico comes back and they sort the protection issues out to a degree we'll be fine. If they don't we're not making a postseason impact anyway regardless of who's catching passes.
We freed him out of his contact but now he's gonna have to sign a cheaper one after tearing his acl. Hopefully other free agents will look at us in a more positive light for how we followed Diggs wishes
I've been losing faith in Slowik every week. Now without our receptions leader, do you have faith he can make it work?
Nico isn't done for the season, and I've never had faith in Slowik, I think Stroud will make it work if he gets time. If they don't improve protection it won't matter whether Diggs is here or not.
You guys b**** when we run the ball ever. Spending a 2nd round pick on Stefon ****ing Diggs is a risk worth taking.
Yeah and the risk backfired cause he's done for the year. We could have waited and got guys like Amari Cooper or Diontae Johnson for a lot less than a 2nd round pick. Imagine how sick it would have been to bring Deandre Hopkins home for a conditional 5th like what KC gave up
Hindsight is insanely 20/20. we coulda...we coulda....we coulda...... Diggs had zero injury history to suggest this was a bad move. These are the kind of moves you want your team to make. I get that people need to b****, but damn, man....y'all need new hobbies. Life is too short if you're second guessing this move. I'd suggest needlework. It's calming.
It’s not b****ing to say that the Diggs trade was a bust. The Texans gave up a second round pick for a guy in the last year of his contract who played less than half a season. And I like Diggs, but he did not look like WR-1 on this team. A second rounder for a WR-2 is a steep price. It was a big swing and turned into a miss. The silver lining is that Diggs became a leader in the clubhouse and helped coach up the other wide receivers. But at the end of the day Diggs playing less than half the season makes this trade a bust.
Always ask for guaranteed money unless you are QB. 30 year old WR with a ACL not looking good for his next contract. Maybe the texans can get him for cheap?
Actually it still isn’t b****ing. I was happy that they made the trade to get a veteran wide receiver who was looking to prove himself. However, the trade didn’t work out. If given the choice to make this trade knowing Diggs would not make the half way point of the season, no one would’ve made that trade — again sometimes **** happens as to your point. Just cause I think it was a busted transaction doesn’t mean I’m b****ing about it. Funny, I really thought following sports teams was a hobby. Why don’t you just folks vent about what happens rather than denigrate them for being disappointed?
