to be frank people don't have strong enough opinions about Brooks to justify it. It's easy for people to change their mind on Brooks because people's entire posting identity on the GARM doesn't resolve around hating Brooks. There are multiple posters who's entire identity since Green has been here was crapping on him. Just a lot more investment in Green that has a lot more passionate opinions as a result
I have been tricked by Jalen about 5x thinking he has ascended. I will address this conversation after the allstar break and even then accept it with a grain of salt if nothing has changed. Consistency and Jalen has been his biggest issue. Not his insane potential. He just needs to learn how to shoot and through 4 games it has been very good.
" Whitmore and Amen have made Green redundant " "What other franchise player in the nba do you know paints their nails." "Cam is going to be way better than Jalen Green" "I think it is the total package though of slim figure, Afro hair, momma's boy, dry humping Jaygup, spending too much time at the Fashion Weeks" "Ok, he has had his hair like a female Afro" " I’d call that a bust no matter what the expectation was." "His 2nd, 3rd job is when he gets traded" Incidentally, the well known chatbot who always seems off-topic might also be a massive racist. Really seems to have an issue with "afro hair"
I don't know that anyone owes Jalen Green an apology. His performance speaks for itself - be that good or bad. He was underwhelming for the majority of the first 2.5 years of his career. He then went supernova for like 5 weeks. His critics said he didn't keep it up to end the year, but as I said at the time - he was clearly better after his hot streak than he was before the hot streak. He has started this early season better than anyone else on the roster, especially offensively.
No one has to apologize for crap. Jalen was HORRIBLE last year outside of March. HORRIBLE. He should have been coming off the bench. This year he is starting out strong. Good sign. Doesn't mean anyone has to apologize for calling crap "crap".
The funniest one by far was the crew that thought Reed Sheppard was going to come in as a rookie and take Jalens job because he was good at 3's lol
I think reporters had either him or Jabari blowing up and of course the probability of Jabari blowing up is miniscule in comparison. His defensive improvement is worth noting and should be praised, no doubt. His Offense has hit the ground running.
Jalen Green final 4 games last season 14ppg on 38/32/33 shooting split = random 4 game dry spell Jalen Green first 4 games this season 29ppg on 43/41/83 shooting split = "continuing" upward trajectory Your logic is truly astonishing
Please. Talk about looking at the past with rosy colored vision. Jalen critics were not like, "Hey, I know you can do better!" Some of the criticism levied at Green bordered on vile. And beyond that, there was a contingency of posters who would attack anyone who deigned to slightly defend Green.
Yeah. I can't see Jabari every blowing up, he doesn't have the offensive tools.... doesn't mean he cannot be good, he could eventually be an 18-20 point a game scorer .... but he doesn't have the skill set to justify 20+ shots a game.
Are you really this stupid? None is saying that any singular four game sample is indicative. The point is that Green (1) significantly improved after the All Star break last season, (2) looked great in the preseason, and (3) has come out the gate strong this season. The idea that people are excited just about four games is absurd. It’s an overarching pattern.
The facts don't support that statement. In the 9 games after the streak he was shooting 27% from 3, just under 38% from the field, scoring 16 points per game on 15 shots per game....a TS% of 49%. He was absolutely worthless after the streak ended. That said, he's started out this season doing very well at basically everything and it's been fun to see.... but it doesn't retroactively make people wrong who pointed out how poorly he played in the past.
Im considered myself a jalen stan, but some of u guys are wild with the way u are acting. Just b happy that green is doing well, asking for an apology is just wild.
I think they need another scorer badly, in the body of Malik Monk ..... It is nice that young guys are getting their stats but I need to watch more solid wins.
"He’s just not very good. Let’s please stop second guessing all that we’ve seen up to this point." "He def humped a couple of those dudes he bunked with lol" "The NBA is too tough on his vocal cords as well." "He’s not mature enough to be a father. he’s just a bish" "Jalen is a bust... know it is Hard to accept for a franchise for their previous #2 draft pick...But this is reality." " He is lucky that i wasn't in his class in his elementary school i'd bully him into becoming a cam w**** femboy." < This is Invocuck, he's not remotely a nice person, or a Rockets fan. Straight up admitting to pedophilia there too "Makes me want to go back in time and fix the mistake his parents did by letting him touch a basketball." - More invocuck "Trade him for a late 1st and a backup center" I'm mostly being nice by not highlighting which of y'all idiots wrote this **** outside of the racist or disturbing pedo guys.
