You get easily tricked when you get tired from all the CEO’ing of a Fortune 500 company. It really takes it out of you.
Trump's MSG hate rally was no accident. Everything was vetting and loaded in the teleprompter with a specific goal in mind. That goal.... change the election narrative the week before in order to have the media talk about nothing but "woke" stuff. Gin up the bro's who are obsessed with calling everything woke and again drive that wedge in American society. Fight in the mud. Don't let the race be about abortion rights, Democracy, healthcare, etc. Trump does not want a race about the issues... he wants to fight in the mud about culture wars, and divide us. ....... Kamala's surrogates need to blast the airwaves today and force the conversation to come back to women's rights, and the other policy proposals they want the election to be about. Yeah you can't ignore the racism, but learn from Bernie, and other politicians who always take every "news of the day" question they get asked, and quickly pivot to what you want to talk about. DO NOT let Trump dictate the narrative in the media the week of the election. The speech tonight is a big moment for her to make the electorate feel what happened on January 6th, and offer a chance to re-gain that ground... literally and figurative. Stand there on the Ellipse grounds, and reclaim it... and make sure you make it newsworthy.
I do not think there is any way the results of this election will change. We are one week out and both sides are throwing anything against the wall to see if a story will gain traction. To this point nothing has. Next Tuesday can't get here soon enough. But sadly also, all of the golf courses up here in my area of NY close for the winter on election day. Goodbye until next spring my trusty Calaway irons and Goodbye to my Ping woods.
Trump and his criminal MAGA loyalists are ready to amp up the election conspiracies, lies, and conspiracy theories. I have no doubt if Trump loses, that there will be chaos, violence, and more people harmed by malicious and calculated lies, and incitement of violence, and another attempt to overturn the election. Steve Bannon is released from prison in time for the last-week push to Election Day “It’s less than 24 hours until Stephen K. Bannon is back a free man and preaching the gospel of MAGA here in the ‘War Room,’” Natalie Winters, one of the podcast guest hosts said Monday. Winters then turned her focus to the presidential race, claiming, “It’s not an election, it’s ballot warfare.” It’s the kind of incendiary rhetoric Bannon embraced and promoted as an early voice in the “Stop the Steal” movement in 2020. “Though we’ve been seeing election denial activists coming on the show still as a central hub, you see that ‘War Room,’ it wasn’t able to sustain itself without Bannon,” said Madeline Peltz, deputy director for rapid response at Media Matters, a progressive nonprofit that does extensive media monitoring. Peltz still predicted Bannon would be a prominent voice for election denialism if it appears Trump is coming up short after Election Day. https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/29/politics/steve-bannon-released-prison/index.html Donald Trump had a remarkable number of people in his orbit who were convicted of crimes, including Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort. Some of these figures have now been hired by the Trump campaign. Others have carved out careers as voices of the MAGA movement in exile, pushing the former president’s lies about the 2020 election and grievances about the Biden administration. “Loyalty is paramount for Donald Trump and his network,” said Jennifer Mercieca, a professor at Texas A&M University who studies political rhetoric. “The ones who stayed loyal have been rewarded with pardons that have enabled them to continue to be loyal to him, to go out and create an alternate media universe." The phalanx of loyal messengers who were pardoned have, since Trump was voted out of office, continued to amplify the election-conspiracy claims that flatter Trump’s ego and strengthen the idea that he was robbed of power. They were shown by Trump that extreme and total loyalty would be rewarded and have pushed his vision—betting on cashing in on that loyalty again. Trump pardoned members of Congress who were loyal to him. He pardoned several members of his campaign and staff who were prosecuted in the Russia investigation. On the campaign trail this time around, he has floated the idea of pardoning the Jan. 6 insurrectionists, should he retake office. Many of these pardon recipients were either energized by Trump’s favor to step up their activism or freed, literally, to reengage with his politics. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2024/10/trump-harris-election-pardon-jan-6-russia-bannon.html
Unfortunately I have 7 years left until retirement. No snow birding. We will full on move back to the great state of Texas. I'm thinking Carthage.
I feel you on looking forward to this being over, but right now this week is all about "Get out the vote." Meaning it's a base play to motivate and get your voters off the couch. This election cycle it's obvious Trump is all in on young men. Which is why he's really leaning in on anything he can do to make sure young men don't lose focus with football, or UFC this Saturday, or whatever. He wants them pissed off about "woke" this or that, and he wants them pissed off enough to go vote for him. I agree minds aren't likely to change, but the fact is alot of people in America are really busy as hell, and it's hard to get people to go do anything that's not already on their agenda. Trump's GOTV strategy is a more risky one, but it's one that could work out for him for sure. It's just about motivation. Kamala's camp needs to use the Bernie approach here to shift the national dialog back to talking about the things they want to talk about which motivates LIKELY voters.
I will die laughing if this Puerto Rico mess costs Trump the election. I can’t wait for Trump to blame the media for this.
unreal https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wir...ecides-mail-ballots-smudged-missing-115239845 The Nevada Supreme Court ruled Monday that mail-in ballots with smudged, indecipherable or missing postmarks can be counted for up to three days after polls close on Election Day.
What Trump really wants to trigger is the liberal comedian types to come out and go viral with "I hate Woke" narratives. I'm talking about Chappell, Bill Maher, Bill Burr, etc. Trump's people are obviously really deeply invested in the Joe Rogan sphere of influence. They thought this hate rally could lead to comedians like Dave Chappell coming out of the wood work to go viral, and call out liberals for being "too woke." Dave might be the best endorsement Trump could get right now, and that seems to be the goal here is to bait the media, and at the last minute get a Chappell type of endorsement, or at least a Chappell type of rebuke where influential comedians or pop culture people channel their hate at the figurehead of the "big bad left." Kamala's camp cannot control what CNN or the NYT does, but they can try their hardest to seize the narrative for themselves. They gotta have surrogates on TV today to pivot the narrative back to abortion, and anything Trump related has to be a reminder of January 6th. DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT. The last thing you need right now is allowing CNN and the NYT opinion section to be your main messenger to undecided voters. These morons will cost you like they did Hillary in 2016. They will take the bait every time. Blast the airwaves today, and focus focus focus. the narrative.
Trump is saying "Those g*dd*mn Republicans are trying to rig the election again!!!" This is genius. Try to rig the election and then say "hey someone is trying to rig the election".
Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, spent part of her weekend in Pennsylvania campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris with just days to go before the 2024 presidential election. Barbara Pierce Bush tells PEOPLE she's "hopeful" that voters will back Harris on Nov. 5 to "move our country forward and protect women's rights. "It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend," Barbara, 42, shares in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Oct. 29. "I’m hopeful they'll move our country forward and protect women’s rights."
What was the full context? Doesn't really matter though considering all the names that get thrown at Trump and his supporters
