JJ coming in with that youthful energy and going to turn some heads, say things people don’t want to hear and he will hopefully be impactful and not just taken as a joke because he’s young and inexperienced. Suggesting new balls or not “a good basketball” is not what he said but seems to imply is not the craziest thing, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a coach say we should play with balls that have been used before. So let’s see what the response will be.
The Lakers looked good. They looked like they are getting coached for once. . The Suns will be a nice test on Friday night.
What year is it, so we waited since his Pelican years and the Bubble for this? I was sure he won a few MVPs....he didn't.
People saying the Lakers are finally being coached . . . . more like The Lakers are finally looking coachable. Rocket River
They've been humbled, perhaps. Or Redick is better than we thought. They've beat some decent teams. Tonight they play their first road game against the Suns who they already beat. Tough to prove anything so early in the season, but I don't want to see them beat a good team on the road. That'd mean they're likely really good.
LA is looking way better than I thought. JJ is incredibly smart and can relate to players. It’s not a surprise he’s got them playing well
I think he is a good coach I think more than any other coach in LA He has LeBron's seal of approval LeBron finally stopped running from the "I don't hire the coach" narrative He still *SAYS* that but everyone *KNOWS* this is *HIS GUY* And the people that know it best are the ones that have to know it best HIS TEAMMATES Everyone feels that LeBron can run any teammate out of town that does not act right Guess What. . . more than any coach in the LeBron Era. .. . JJ CAN TOO JJ has the ear of the king and every player knows It So act right or GTFOH Rocket River
Sitting back acting like they reading something when the Laptop Camera is focused on DAT *SS!!!!??? ? I'm sure he didn't LOL Rocket River
Something that doesnt get mentioned though is JJ has NBA head coaches as his assistants, Nate Mcmillan and Scot Brooks. These two probably do a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes, but where JJ makes an impact is on the player communication and in game rotations.
