Coming from the guy who adamantly supported Hunter Bidens Russian Collusion hoax, Wuhan wet market covid hoax and the Charlottesville Trump is a nazi hoax. I recommend reading my original post where I said "Imagine if this poll was real". The difference between you and I is you actually believe everything you're told to believe.
Trump has a "secret" plan to steal the election if he does not win. Why would Trump talk about his secret plan? Simple enough. Trump is a moron.
Only a complete idiot would believe he is talking about a plan to steal an election. We'll come back to this after November 5th.
It is not like Trump held a rally on January 6, 2021, told his armed supporters to fight like hell and then sent them to the Capitol. Only a complete idiot would believe that Trump would concede and not try to burn it all down again.
In the snippet, it sounds like Trump is talking about a strategy to gain seats in the House, not anything about the race for the presidency. DailyKos is a trash propaganda site, so of course they took it and ran 8 miles in the wrong direction.
No, to the extent you can imply this brain-addled wacko is talking about - anything - in particular - its not at all unreasonable to think he's referring to staging a coup in conjunction with Congressional allies - I know this because he staged a coup in conjunction with Congressional allies before and is currently under multiple grand jury indictments for staging a coup with congressional allies. He's going to try to have the house & senate override the election when he loses. This is a virtual certainty. It's a shame that people think it's no big deal. It's basically happened once in the modern era, on January 6, 2021. That was not a good day.
DailyKos post verbatim AP stories. Are those propaganda? Are perhaps you making a overly broad statement? DailyKos is where I find what is being said in the Left Wing Echo Chamber. I would find what is being said in the Right Wing Echo on Fox News et al. Now I don't have to actually watch Fox News, since the loud and proud SCWs here blast that sh*t here ad nauseam. I fully expect you to call out Fox News blasters here, right? BTW ... Letters from an American But Trump perhaps gave away the game with his inflammatory language and with an aside, seemingly aimed at House speaker Johnson. “I think with our little secret we are gonna do really well with the House, right? Our little secret is having a big impact, he and I have a secret, we will tell you what it is when the race is over,” Trump said. It seems possible—probable, even—that Trump was alluding to putting in play the plan his people tried in 2020. That plan was to create enough chaos over the certification of electoral votes in the states to throw the election into the House of Representatives. There, each state delegation gets a single vote, so if the Republicans have control of more states than the Democrats, Trump could pull out a victory even if he had dramatically lost the popular vote. ‘What’s He Confessing to?’: Trump’s Mike Johnson ‘Secret’ Draws Electoral College Concerns But during those 80 minutes Donald Trump made one statement that has constitutional law and other experts concerned. Referencing Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Trump said: “I think with our little secret we are gonna do really well with the House, our little secret is having a big impact, he and I have a secret, we will tell you what it is when the race is over.” Suggesting the comment was “potentially…sinister,” Politico Playbook reported it “could be a reference to the House settling a contested election.”
They need to put a priority on catching the perp. Here's the link to the article, which is by Emily Singer, Daily Kos staff: Trump teases ‘secret’ election plan as majority thinks he won’t concede. Notice as you read it the (perhaps true, but...) inflammatory and biased language the journalist uses: "racist hate-filled rally" and "we’ll see if voters’ cognitive dissonance causes them to do the right thing." All the stuff your high school paper told you not to do when you write an article. AP wouldn't do that. "I think with our little secret we're gonna do really well with the House, right? Our little secret is having a great impact.” Just grammatically, it doesn't sound like he's talking about the presidency. Sounds like he's talking about the Republicans' aspirations to control Congress. If it was something planned for the election certification, why would he say it "is having" a great impact? Shouldn't it be "will have" a great impact? And of course it doesn't help that neither the article nor the video snippet provides the context of what he was talking about 30 seconds before. If the context had helped their interpretation, I bet they'd have included it. That it was excluded tells me it either undermines their interpretation or is irrelevant (I welcome a longer quote, if anyone has one). But, really, it's just those 2 sentences that they hang the entire article on. The article goes on to quote a partisan expert on how he interprets Trump's meaning. And then references some unnamed Trump allies who say they do not have inside knowledge on Trump's plan but kinda expect him to claim victory prematurely regardless of the facts. It then goes on to explain how the plan wouldn't even work nowadays. That we passed a law in 2022 to try to make sure Trump can't bring alternate electors. And, though the article doesn't say, I'd point out that this time Republicans don't control the Senate, the Presidency, or the Vice Presidency, which were critical elements in Trump's last putsch attempt -- in fact, it was probably Pence's stand that saved democracy. And now Kamala Harris has Pence's role. So, I'm supposed to believe Trump is signaling he's going to do a plan that isn't going to work? So, I say Daily Kos is garbage and propaganda. The journalism here is paper thin. They took 2 sentences and built a mansion around it. And to your other question, of course Fox is also trash and propaganda. I presumed my reputation preceded me, which probably isn't fair of me. Now that I'm done trashing Kos though, I agree with their assumption that Trump will object to the results if he isn't declared the winner. And, he will try to steal the election if he sees a path to do so. I'm just not convinced that he's alluding to that plan in this quote. Republicans can, apparently, object to certifying election results with 20% of each of the House and Senate -- that's 20 Senators and 87 House members. Maybe he can get that many. Maybe his quote about the House was that they found 87 votes (though the grammar still isn't right). If he can get an objection, he gets a roll call vote. Can he get an absolute majority in both chambers? Probably not. And, he'll get no help from the VP, nor can he count on using the threat of the deployment or non-deployment of the National Guard to bring pressure. His coup failed in 2020, and it'll be 10 times harder in 2024.
I voted on Saturday, no lines whatsoever and the poll workers were so dam nice (Barbara Bush Library off Veterans and Cypresswood) and there was ZERO drama, TBH the few candidates that were outside were not pushy and I actually talked to one guy who was running for something to lower water bills Now I am turning off politics for a week, no more texts and for the LOVE of GOD stop with the political ads.....................at this point, if anyone is on the fence then you just don't want to pick a side.
Kamala takes back lead in ABC poll. Issues The candidates divide the pie in trust to handle top issues. Trump's best include immigration, with a 12-point advantage over Harris among registered voters; the economy overall, +8 points; inflation, +7; and the conflict in the Middle East, also +7. Harris responds with double-digit leads in trust to handle abortion (+15) and health care (+10); she's also 8 points ahead in trust to handle "protecting American democracy" and +6 on helping the middle class. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/har...ly-electoral-college-holds/story?id=115083875
So listen to this ****. I saw a dumbass MAGA supporter complaining after he voted and got his voting sticker. "Why in the hell does this sticker say HarrisVotes.com. I voted for Trump!" In Harris County, TX. Real intelligent voters the Donald has.
