Well, he lost some options, then the ball started getting out more quickly and he started hitting Tank, I don't think it's a coincidence.
And appparently was crucial on the overload sack to end the game. "We drew it up on the go. Denico said to work off him and Danielle to work off me and meet at the qb." Going to have watch that play again.
This team seems to make everything harder than it should be. I still say the Texans need a new offensive coordinator. Plays aren't clever, they are very predictable. The offensive line needs major work. Defense isn't perfect, but they are strong point of the team. Defensive coordinators have figured out our offense. We are still winning (barely), but everything seems like a monumental struggle.
The Browns can absolutely win games with an average QB, which they didn't have for the first 7 weeks.
There are only four teams in the NFL that have won six games; Detroit, Green Bay, Kansas City, and Houston.
I don’t mean to cop out but everyone wants to see Lamar do it in the postseason. Frauds? I don’t know. I lean towards no. Got the two favorites for MVP. 5-1 since starting 0-2. I wouldn’t want to play them. I only fear the Ravens and Chiefs (from AFC) but they can also lose to anyone. (“But but but you can say that about anyone other than the Chiefs!!!”) Point differential among winning teams. Chiefs(6-0): +43 Lions(6-1): +100 Texans(6-2): +9 Packers(6-2): +46 Commanders(5-2): +66 Steelers(5-2): +60 Bills(5-2): +63 Vikings(5-2): +51 Eagles(5-2): +39 Bears(4-2): +47 Falcons(5-3): -1 Ravens(5-3): +33 Seahawks(4-3): +16 Broncos(4-3): +33 Forget all that. They can’t block, they can’t protect, they can’t pick up stunts and blitzes, it doesn’t matter. Significantly diminishes my outlook. No rebounds, no rings. No blocking, no wins. While the Jets are 2-6 and fired Saleh and have lost 5 in a row, I’m expecting a loss on Thursday. Short week, shitty stadium (pray for no serious long term injuries), line can’t block. Long day like last year. https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547582 Stroud struggled, also got a concussion. Anderson got hurt. ZACH WILSON threw for 300 yards/2 TDs. “With Houston already playing without WR Tank Dell (broken leg), WR Nico Collins went out early with an injured calf. CB Tavierre Thomas and LB Blake Cashman had hamstring injuries in the first half and didn't return. DE Will Anderson had an ankle injury in the fourth quarter.”
Yeah, I understand the thinking of the team being a weak 6-2 but...they are 6-2. It's hard to win in this league. Demeco don't get enough credit for the defense too especially considering how injured its been. It feels like anyone he puts in comes in and makes plays which tells me he's putting guys in the right spots. We have two rookies playing in the secondary even and still that unit is above average at the least. We lost two of our LBs and just put new ones in, still effective. Demeco going to end up getting people paid and I have a feeling it's only going to get better with time. I wish we'd hire some old OC that's content with being an AC like how Spags is with Reid. Just a proven guy who is going to come in day 1 and you know what you're going to get with him.
Remember last year when CJ was getting sacked at a David Carr pace through two or three weeks, and he decided no more sacks, made adjustments and didn't get sacked for like 2 weeks straight? We need that CJ now.
Here's my biggest concern and frustration with this team. Why do we make it look so hard to throw touchdowns into the end zone? I mean today CJ had 285 yards and 1 TD. Then you have Detroit, who only had 61 yards total passing, but scored 4 of their 6 touchdowns by passing.
Detroit has a fantastic offensive line and could run the ball on every single play and still move the ball up and down the field.
These are the type of games that are going to come playoff time....so may as well prep for it all season, with a few or so comfy wins The NFL is predictable because of game film, so you have to put in new wrinkles but your true playmakers are going to do just that, and when healthy they move the ball ...especially with chunk yard plays of 20+ Agree the o-line needs to step up, and they should Mixon out there looking like a hybrid of Henry-Lynch which should help though the Diggs incident just put a lot of pressure on Dell to be that baby DJax
