Had a couple of rushes (3)that impacted bad throws, including the deflected pass that Richardson nearly caught.
He destroyed the block, went around the LT, got pushed in the back to the ground and still disrupted the pass as AR was trying to throw it somewhere inside the stadium
He's having a sophomore slump, but he still has flashes of brilliance. Bobby's playcalling is not helping
Diggs was walking on his own heading to the tunnel Are we sure it's an ACL? I'm thinking it's a sprain
My random thoughts: 1. It's getting to the point where I'm rooting for a run bc watching CJ get hit every play gives me soul crushing anxiety. 2. Jarett Patterson </3 3. Flashes of Tank Dell 4. (Probably) an unpopular opinion. I hate playing AR15. Absolutely hate it. On the one hand yes his completion percentage is just abominable, he misses open guys, he makes horrible decisions, he's sloppy. But....... every ****ing play he does make is just a back breaker, scramble for 20, 50+ yard touchdown bomb, etc. Sure, the results end up being in our favor, but my cardiovascular health is put through a marathon as I have to sit around watching the defense defend deep ball after deep ball. It doesn't matter that he only completes 1/10 of those passes, when he does its getting housed. And then when they do wise up and run him, between him and Taylor, they can easily move the football. 5. Neville Hewitt was not a good today... We need our LBs back. 6. Devin White played okay? I guess? He did get a sack, also got burned by the RB who dropped a TD, and he took poor angles a few times on runs/catches that were bounced outside. Still excited for him to be on the team. 7. Stefon Diggs <\3 8. Hutchinson with a helluva catch. 9. Metchie alright alright. 10. Why can't we spread it out and hit TEs over the middle more often. That neutralizes the rush and our pillsbury RG. Did it a bit early and then went away. 11. Ugh, more play action bootlegs pls. 12. CJ is definitely make more mistakes with his decision making and processing bc he's not able to focus on the defense, the o line is clearly impacting his ability to process downfield. Several times he took the checkdown when guys were running open. 13. Eric Murray had a solid ass game. 14. Mixon is awesome but the run game scheme is so annoyingly predicable. On the other hand, when we try to spice it up today, you know, a fancy HB toss, it nearly blew the entire game so... 15. People are gonna b**** and moan about running three straight times on the last possession, the same people who were screaming up and down to do that last week. It was a stupid decision both times. Run on first, then you gotta pass and try to get first downs. 16. Richardson spiked it was zero seconds on the clock. He might have snapped it right at 1 second, but the ball hit the ground at zero seconds. 17. There were zero seconds on the clock. 18. THERE WERE ZERO ****ING SECONDS ON THE CLOCK. I ****ING HATE THESE REFS. WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK, IM b****ING ABOUT THE REFS, BC THEY ****ING SUCK WORSE THAN REPLACEMENT REFS. Whew, I feel better. 6-2 baby.
Autry got a pass deflection that was nearly intercepted…which other people have pointed out several times…lol.
Stroud isn't the guy he was last season, though there is blame to go around. I think part of the problem is having too many options on offense, he's trying to check on too many options before making a decision, and he's not looking for Tank much. The O line has been suspect, but Stroud has held onto the ball too long and he hasn't been accurate on a lot of throws he'd have made last season. He's still doing fine by overall NFL standards, but he's not living up to his own standards.
