Texans are an unimpressive 6-2. Only one of those wins was a comfortable victory, and that was against one of the worst teams in the NFL. Their defense has been good. Will, Hunter, Murray etc all had strong showings. The offense (except Mixon) continues to have major issues, and Stroud is getting visibly irritated with the leaky OL. Really bummed about Diggs, assuming it's indeed an ACL.
What good has Autry been? First he's suspended for 6 games and in his two games playing he doesn't have a single tackle. Was he in there the whole game last week and this week? I have no idea.
Yet other teams manage to win games by more than a score. The Texans are playing a bunch of 50/50 games that can get decided by a late bounce. They are close to a .500 team when you look beyond wins and losses. The ability to win toss up games isn't an actual ability. We are lucky that the power in the NFL seems to be in the NFC this season. Hell the Packers spotted us 3 turnovers last week, and still won.
HtX: 5 sacks and 8 qb hits for the defense. Indy: 2 sacks. 9 qb hits and flushed Stroud out of the toilet line1,000X
That gave me a laugh. Slowik does remind me of a turtle at times, hiding in his shell. Or, Slowik riding a Turtle with our cartoon H on it wearing a big cowboy hat.
Your traditional powerhouses in the AFC are all looking suspect this year. Chiefs are winning but in the same manner as the Texans by squeaking by. Ravan just lost to the Browns. Bengals dug themselves a hole. Bills overall look a bit disappointing. So that is the saving grace of this season and still having hope at least making the AFC championship game.
OK, nobody answered my question. Was Autry playing last week and this week after coming off his 6 game suspension? The box scores don't show he has a single tackle for either game.
