It assumes the Colts even suck that much. Their defense is bad, but even still they're on a mini hot streak. Just 1 game back of the Texans, a couple Anthony Richardson plays from leading the division. Past that, you're still right. Whether its a 1 point or 31 point win, Texans need sharp cohesive o-line unit
If anything now, Demeco has shown he can coach up the defense even with starters out. Meaning less resources on D side, more resources put into the o-line. Which is seemingly what they're doing already. They just need to make better decisions on the players & coaching. Not Kenyon Green type misses
Our offensive line is ranked 22nd in the league going into week 8, yet the 2nd highest paid group in the league. If they don't get better do you think we should hire a different offensive coordinator or replace a couple guys in free agency, or both? I have no idea how any of the free agents next year compare to our current players. Somebody's getting paid too much for what they do, that's for sure. 2025 Free Agent Offensive Tackles ranked 1) Alaric Jackson, Los Angeles Rams 2) Spencer Brown, Buffalo Bills 3) Garett Bolles, Denver Broncos 4) Tyron Smith, New York Jets 5) Ronnie Stanley, Baltimore Ravens 6) Jedrick Wills Jr., Cleveland Browns 7) Cam Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars 8) Morgan Moses, New York Jets 9) Dan Moore Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers 10) Walker Little, Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 Free Agent Interior Offensive Linemen ranked 1) Alaric Jackson, Los Angeles Rams 2) Spencer Brown, Buffalo Bills 3) Garett Bolles, Denver Broncos 4) Tyron Smith, New York Jets 5) Ronnie Stanley, Baltimore Ravens 6) Jedrick Wills Jr., Cleveland Browns 7) Cam Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars 8) Morgan Moses, New York Jets 9) Dan Moore Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers 10) Walker Little, Jacksonville Jaguars https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-free-agents-by-position/
Kenyon will single handily lose us this game. If Demeco was a better coach, it wouldn't have gotten to this point.
Not exaggerating but a backup LG from another team that plays our scheme would help the entire line. Patterson is out with a concussion so it's not season ending.
Seems to be the Green experiment is done. I had been patient with him last few years and hoped he would've been better this year...but it's done. Start Patterson from now on and sign another veteran.
Ya, most important thing about offensive lines isn't having superstars everywhere, but have nobody who just kills you. Green got beat multiple times where he didn't even get a hand on the DT, which seems unfathomable.
Kenyon Green had a chance to redeem himself after he was put back into the game after Patterson got hurt. Jerrod Johnson yelled at him to pump him up. He proceeded to allow his man to chase and run down CJ 3 plays in a row for a quick 3 and out. The numbers say he is the worse interior o-lineman in the league and eye test matches it. I don't want to see him in a Texans uniform again.
Caserio’s best acquisition has been Mixon and the draft picks. His offensive line picks and Mason have been rough.
