Measured praise and reining in hype is meant for people who actually supported Green. Ya the first three games don't make us unquestionably believe he is "him". It's three games and it isnt like he's setting the world on fire. But you? Your motivation to do this is being ridiculously unreasonable with your takes on Green for the past couple of seasons and wanting to be seen as credible now.
Look just because I say things you don't like doesn't make it lack credibility, I am a realist, and Green is not a DUDE, he doesn't lead, he is too inconsistent. None of that says....HE SUCKS....but you are so into his cult that any criticism you take like someone slept with your sister. I like Green, I don't LOVE Green....you do......if you don't like disagreement don't post on a bulletin board. Otherwise grow thicker skin. DD
Please, please, please maintain that haterade energy. The last thing we need is you DD cursing Jalen now of all times.
I have always like him - I think he is a pretty good NBA player, just not a Superstar and when you draft someone at 2, you hope for higher than Pretty good. And I don't think Green and Alpi fit......they get in each others way, so I hope we choose one or the other and open up the game. DD
Dude. You know you are speaking out of your ass. Me defending Green from clowns like you doesn't mean I didn't have measure takes about Green. Here is a test to see how insincere you are here. What were my thoughts on Green entering the season? For example did I think he deserved a max extension? Did I believe this was his last chance this season to be a long term part of this team?
He’s averaging 26 points at 22 yrs old. If you are still doubting his star potential, then you are beyond help.
FChowder - you have spammed thread after thread turning every conversation into Green, you clearly are on the OCD Green spectrum and can't help yourself, but it is obvious. So, glad you like him....and NEWSFLASH everyone knows you do. DD
In 3 games and not quite all that efficient.... I don't doubt he is a good player, I doubt he is a great one. It is all Semantics though at this point....we all have our own definitions of superstardom for me, he ain't it. DD
Go look at the list of players who averaged 25+ ppg at 22 yrs old or younger. If Green keeps this up, he absolutely has superstar potential.
Everyone knows I am a fan of Jalen Green? The horror. Everyone knows you are the "please don't support my favorite player because you are going to end their NBA career" guy. And rather toxic with your agendas making hyperbolic claims of players you have agendas against. You've been dreaming of trading the kid for over a year now and yes that is going to motivate you to do the "hold your horses" takes out of a motivation to save face over the past two years of your unhinged takes on the kid. People who have had unhinged hater agendas don't have the benefit of the doubt for these type of "hold your horses" takes because it comes from a motivation of protecting the ego
This is what happens when you lack introspection, it isn't that you are a fan, it is that you turn every thread into a Green one - you can't help yourself, and it ruins other good conversations. No one cares that you love Green, good for you, nothing wrong with loving a player, just keep it in context...which I know you can't.....but you could at least try. As for Green - he is a pretty good to good player, but his inconsistency is a problem, however, I believe that part of that inconsistency for him is sengun clogging the paint. I don't think they fit. DD
They’d fit fine if other players could shoot. That’s what I believe. If I’m wrong then that concerns me for both players. If Sengun can’t play with a slashing guard…and Green can’t play well with someone actually playing in the post…then we aren’t going to be very good with either of them.
