Another 80 games, come on, it is way too early .....Sheppard might need more time.

 

His spins are so slow that the help is so quick to react. His unorthodox game has become pretty predictable. He takes also way too long to get into his actions. It hurts the rhythm which is why they seem to play better without him.

 

Rockets pick-n-roll game is about as great as the Astros bunting and small ball game.

 

I hate that’s it’s coming to this, but I’m starting to really dislike Jabari…it’s not at the level of hate I had when watching EG, but Idk if I can take another year of this

even my dog knew Jabari wasn’t gonna hit those clutch shots…he started crying and whimpering when the ball got to Jabari’s hands

Jabari’s entire college experience was AI…this man’s college jumper catfished everybody

Yeah he's starting to do too much and needs to go back to keeping it simple. Back down, pump fakes, finishes around the rim. He's been trying to do way too much.

I think he'll settle down though he'll be alright. Hopefully the benching will refocus him.

Bari is a rhythm shooter and in this office like you said he’s really never going to get it… he always looks like he’s thinking before shooting vs shooting - as good as FVV was last season - he’s been awful and I wouldn’t mind seeing him gone

 

I know that Ime wants us to be a defense only team, but I feel like if you played Cam and Jalen together more they probably don't **** up that fast break, and they could be one of the best scoring duos in the league in all honesty. I'd be genuinely interested in seeing an Amen/Jalen/Cam/Sengun/Adams line up now that Jalen's bought in as a 2 way player, or if we're cemented on Sengun being a 5 (looks like a 4 now he shoots from distance) Amen/Jalen/Cam/Tari/Sengun.

It's time to pull the plug on Steve Harris 10.0. You are not a shooter if you can't make shots. Cut bait and this team turns it around.

Sengun is never going to be a good roll man, so a pick and roll offense featuring him and Jalen Green doesn’t make sense. An offense where Sengun initiates at the high post and either passes to cutters, faces up and attacks the defense, or does a dribble handoff to Jalen Green who attacks with a running start makes much more sense with Sengun’s skill set.

 

That's exactly it, lots of guys need shots and opportunities to get going, many NBA players will outright say this. He's not going to get it here, that much is clear. We just have better offensive prospects to to give shots and usage to but he's probably going to go else where and shoot better if he's consistently getting shots.

My main issue with FVV is this team is blazing fast and he slows the pace, I hate him walking it up when we have Cam and Amen and Green and Tari, just a complete waste to these guys to watch him walk it up all the time and slow things up. We always talk about playing faster but never going to get into that with FVV.

Sengun pushes the pace more than FVV now that I think about it.

 

Jalen was shooting 38% from 2 heading into tonight’s game where he went 7-12

there’s no need to be launching 10-11 threes a night

Ime needs to figure out how to space the court for Jalen to get downhill…he can get to the rim easily

no one else on the team can put up points like him

 

It'd be better if they set up his posts properly instead of just throwing the ball to him with whoever the opponent wants to guard him in position to stop him. Run an off-ball screen with Sengun/Green first, and if Sengun's guy catches Green before the 3 then dump the ball to Sengun in the post with Green's man on him. Basic ****, and then Sengun eats easy or draws a double which facilitates the passing. People keep talking about using the "Senhub" but it's clear Ime has never seen him that way, which is why he's never used him that way. That was all Silas years.
