Or she is sorely incompetent at the role of POTUS. The vast majority of people are. It's not an insult. Unless one continues to think she is otherwise. Stop making it about race or gender. She is just dumb. Sarah Palin dumb.

I look at those voters last night who said they hadn't made their mind up and shake my head at "why", but it is what it is. There is a large swath of people I am afraid will not vote for a Woman and some more on the fact that she is Black, it sucks but I "think" its reality. Nothing will shock me come Nov 6th, if trump wins in an electoral landslide, if Harris wins in a landslide, if its neck and neck and down to the wire I wont be shocked. Half this country is now OK with a dictatorship style trump and we could very well have him as the winner, if he is the loser he wont concede and will tell everyone he won and he was cheated out again, and I hate to think what the magas like M Johnson would do as Speaker.

I know campaigns have ebbs and flows and I am so tired of these polls going back and forth and being wrong, I have no clue if there correct. I am on overload at this point I just want the madness to end but the reality is either way this goes there will be more battles, if trump wins we get his chaos, if he loses, we get his chaos

Yeah, I was thinking the same...never really liked her myself but going against Trump anyone would have my vote even Chase Oliver if he was viable. @StupidMoniker

You'd hate to hear the conversation with black veterans I had (I'm not a vet) but they are wild.

She is fake as hell. I met Dubya and he is both authentic and witty. She is not even close to being in the same league as he is.

Maybe she would be an incompetent POTUS, nobody knows. We do know that Trump was an incompetent POTUS.

As for race or gender, do you actually disagree with the notion that there are people who would feel more connectivity and comfort with a white male candidate? I mean really, that’s the most basic notion on this BBS. And it’s not like it is controversial … that people are comfortable with what they have known or experienced in their lives. Are you that obtuse that you cannot see that basic concept?

As for her intellect, her education and career indicate she is not dumb by any stretch of the definition. She isn’t particularly good at speaking, she laughs nervously too much, etc. You seem to have difficulty understanding the difference between intellect and ability to speak on their feet. There are brilliant people who can’t string together three words in a public setting. There are great speakers who aren’t particularly smart.

Kamala sticking to scripted sound bites is her trying to avoid making a missteps and yes, it’s going to come across as fake or insincere or just more politician speak. That is partly why I’m frustrated with her.

The Dubya you are referring to came about a few years into his presidency. He spoke terribly as a candidate. I can’t remember the quotes anymore but he did very poorly. And I was pretty solidly a Republican at that time. It pissed me off that the Republican candidate came off that poorly.

He did get better over time, more comfortable in his own skin, became more warm, relatable. To the point that he is currently regarded as likable even by people on the other end of the political spectrum.

But as a candidate for the first time, the stage that Kamala is in now? Yeah he was bad.

Possible - he was always portrayed as a dumbass by the media, but they also say Trump is Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin at the same time, so there is that.

I met him this year and honestly, he was absolutely hilarious. Gave me a high five, too.

I’ll keep repeating it that Harris Cackles or gives wordy isn’t anywhere comparable to what’s coming out of her opponent’s mouth. They want you to believe that talking about your middle class upbringing is somehow worse than saying the military should be used against your political enemies.

That's the problem. Trying to avoid and not give ammo to misleading tweets is the wrong tactic. The misleading social media is going to happen in any way. Just cut loose and flow.

you are so damn intellectually lazy.

“Possible” … meaning you don’t have any idea what he sounded like as a candidate?

Blaming the media - Bush made himself sound like an idiot by how he spoke. Give me a break.

Blaming the media - if Trump says he wants to be a dictator and says positive things about Hitler and hangs out with white supremacists, we should believe his dumb ass.

I cannot fathom being so utterly unable to make the candidates responsible for their own words and actions.

It was a long time ago and I wasn't living in the USA at the time. This was also before Youtube and Twitter even existed.

Name an individual you believe to be competent to be POTUS?

And it absolutely is a race thing when you say Kamala is as dumb as Sarah Palin. It shows the significantly higher standards people of color need to achieve to be perceived as "not dumb".

Kamala isn't a intellectual thought leader. She isn't some voracious reader of history and political philosophy or economic theory. She isn't doing mathematical economic models.

She is a lady who graduated law school, passed the BAR in her second try which is normal and was a career attorney. That alone shows more competence than anything Sarah Palin has done besides winning popularity contests mostly centered around her hokiness and that many perceived her to be a MILF.

So Kamala is a normal above average intelligent lawyer who isn't some intellectual like the vast majority of our presidents. Same level of intellectualism of a Kennedy or Reagan.

To call her Sarah Palin level dumb is very racist because it shows the different standards you have for intelligence based on race. I can't imagine what you'd call a actual Black woman with the same intelligence as Palin.

Yes. Jfk was kinda of a frat bro. He had more charisma and yes part of that charisma is the conditioning of Americans to naturally be more allured by handsome white war veterans who can speak properly vs a black/mixed raced woman of immigrants.

Is that one of the boxes that Trump likes to drag around?
