Yeah but that wasn't a general election with Trump on the ticket. And saying Trump is up should motivate Dems to get out to vote more right? Anyway, that MSN article is just cope.
True, this time there's a "HITLER HAD SOME GOOD IDEAS" guy just wandering around - saying it out loud - because he is old and has dementia.
Yeah, and I would encourage everyone to watch the little mini doc/story that Steve Kornacki did a few days ago where he took you inside one of the "well-regarded" polling facilities to show what these poll workers actually do. It was pretty eye opening that today in 2024, they are literally still making cold call phone calls. Then the bigger eye opener was the frustration and exhaustion that the poll workers showed where they were just thrilled to get anyone on the phone, and I have a hard time seeing a world where those poll workers wouldn't be as lenient as possible in the responders different alignments that they needed to get, just so they can get the calls they are needing to get. Not that their fudging the numbers, but their desire to get their numbers in has to impact the quality of participants in the poll. There's a human factor here that is hard to see NOT impacting the polls. Long story short..... The polling is crap. HOWEVER... I do think it's useful to see some trendlines on popularity shifts depending on current new cycles. As an Example: Poll a group of 15 "independent voters" the day after the RNC in 2016, and then poll those same individuals the day after the Access Hollywood/Grab them by the Pu$$y story broke. I suspect because of the newscycle and popularity at that moment, Trump probably had a few less people say they approve of Trump that day vs a "good news" day. That's basically all that polls are useful for IMO. Seeing popularity trends. They are NOT indicative of voting. What is happening now in 2024 with the flood of right leaning polls and the fabrication of the Polymarket by right wing Trump billionaire donors is one big effort to make Trump look popular among the electorate as a permission structure for on the fence voters to pull the trigger once again... which might actually work.
Hitler was responsible for horrific crimes, but some infrastructure projects like the Autobahn influenced US policies, including Eisenhower's Interstate Highway System. Even terrible figures can have ideas with practical impact though it doesn't excuse negative things they've done. (inb4 I'm accused of being a Hitler supporter)
In a vacuum what you are saying is accurate, but your comment is not made in a vacuum. It's used in this discussion to excuse Donald Trump's comments. And Donald Trump's comments here are also not made in a vacuum because it comes in the context of his most senior military advisors pretty much all saying this in the notion that Trump did mean this as a way of glorifying NOT THE GOOD THINGS that Hitler did, or Putin does, etc.... but to glorify the idea of being a dictator with absolute power. THAT is what is alarming about this, and where I would encourage you to think long and hard about how much of a limb you want to go out here in trying to propagate on Trump's behalf. If you want to argue for Trump on behalf of his trade policy, or his tax policy, or his position on women's rights.... fine. But I would encourage you if you have any self respect to take this position to draw a line in the sand, and say yeah.... praising Hitler I don't support ... POINT BLANK. Unless of course you do condone Trump's glorification for brutal dictators which in that case I just wish you'd be more honest about it. At this point there's no need to not just be straight with one another here.
Oh, I'm sure that bombshell has been carefully constructed by some real good power hungry liars who won't hesitate to spread some more fake news like Obama's birth certificate, or suitcases of votes, right before Election Day. Trump never hesitates to reach a new low to deceive his following. My guess is some crazy Kamala corruption story or some fake cheating going on at voting stations. He knows he has to keep forcing election doubt into the heads of his red hatted supporters.
I have no idea, but I think the tweet implies that they expect another negative story about the walking Hash Brown, DJT. That happens when a reputable journalist calls the campaign to review a story with them and ask for comment. Then they get to say "lies!11! he never ever sharted at a campaign stop!1!!" as their official response.
And look how Trump responded to the aftermath of Floyd's murder: he gassed peaceful protestors so he could pose with his upside down bible, he threw a fit that military bases honoring Confederates were going to be renamed, he formed a commission to push back on BLM and DEI, and to top it all off, he and his new commission issued a report excusing away slavery, among other BS, on MLK Jr. Day. (I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot too!) SMDH.
