If I or a member of my family committed a crime I'd hold them to the same standard.

If I washed up on the shores of NZ tomorrow I wouldn't be entitled enough to believe I have a right to live and work there permanently. I'd expect them to put my ass on a plane back to the U.S. quickly and they'd be right to do so.

I respect customs and borders laws and regulations.

 

I'm sorry for your families struggles and hope they eventually get to where they need to be.

The difference between a legal immigrant and a illegal immigrant has nothing to do with work ethic or morality. It has everything to do with circumstances.

And my family is a great example. Im referring to someone who isn't my direct family but a second cousin, someone I'm close with and respect. My direct family as in my parents came from the top .1% of wealth in their home country so they had avenues for legal immigration. Both parents college educated but again they had access to the best private school and personal tutors in their home county. My cousin's father is a cab driver....


So you have to excuse me here because I simply don't find it credible you'd wish for deportation of a person you are closed to who you respect and see building a life here and working hard for over a decade.
