only reason for those netrtg stats that it shared are due to that 17+ point run against 3rd string players last game.
Fred had the second-highest BPM and VORP with the highest minutes played on the team by far from the highest (Sengun before injury) last year. Not including his intangibles in the locker room, offseason, etc. He's extremely valuable to this team and has been great
We got a 22-year-old that averaged 21-9-5 as the starting C on a top-10 defense for an entire season (Doubled for most of it)... Dropped 45 on Wemby, followed up by 23-14-19... While being the guy we isolate to close games, even If Lebron or Kawhi is guarding him, and y'all want to drop some preseason +-?!?!?!?! How far the haters have been dragged. I guess we can't bench him for Mo Bamba or trade him for a bag of chips anymore, eh? Bugger off! For you dorks that think Fred VanVleet was the MVP last year... Did anyone see Fred get doubled-teamed once? Respect to Fred, but look at the opposing team's scouting report If you want to know who the best player is. Listen to Spo pre-game on Alperen Sengun.
Still, he believes it's OK to both denigrate him publicly and make money off Alpi shirts & jerseys. This is hypocrisy at best.
Our second unit is really strong. I would expect the rockets take care of the business while the opposing teams second unit is in the game. So i would be fine if our first unit averages lower + - then our bench
Anyone still in doubt? The franchise player now has the biggest contract on the team. As it should be.
The last year player option might have been what enticed him to take a little less money. If he turns into a monster a few years down the road, he can opt out and negotiate a bigger contract earlier.
