    That is a reasonable deal.

    STONE is amazing.

But that PO in the 3rd year, is gonna hurt.

Ok with that number. Essentially a 2 year deal (hopefully) :)

So does this mean cap space at the end of this season is now negligible?

Jalen Green makes $35 million a year. Sengun didn't get an extension. If Sengun has any self-respect, he should go RFA.

35Ms per season is good for everyone and only 3 years max. Creative on Jalens part and savvy on Stones part. Win/Win.

Is 35m per max money or not? I have no idea of what a rookie max figure is. But it should be close to the max at least.

LOL at the trade Jalen peeps.

It's fair. You let him have a chance to prove it and make more in the future in return he gives us a discount for 2 years. Less risk for us this way

Really like this contract and its setup. Mitigates risk on both sides.

Great deal for both parties. Actually allows Rox to keep everyone for the next 2 more years. The rookie max is 44.5M this year and prob 49M next year (10% increase in cap) so signing at 35M is a discount from his theoretical max.

Maybe, but not necessarily. It should guarantee the Rockets will have a hungry Jalen for 2 more years after this season.

Remember, the NBA salary cap will escalate indefinitely because of the ridiculous new TV contracts, which almost makes it difficult for teams to offer a "bad contract".

I believe his rookie max extension could have been up to 5 years 225 million.
