I don't want to start a separate thread for when Israel kicks the Mullah regime's ass, so I'll just post this in the proxy army thread.
If helping people to question the reliability of their conditioned narratives and open their eyes to finally see the true gravity of the situation is indeed the motivation behind it, you might want to consider the possibility that - in the absence of a link - the one and only result your post is actually accomplishing is the complete opposite of that which you purport to desire. Perhaps we can at least attempt being mindful enough as to take care not to use devastatingly horrific and unbearable humanitarian crises as yet some crunchy pocket tube socks into which we masturbate - and with which we signal - our fragile, flaccid, sad excuses for virtue. Fair?
Edit for apology to @AroundTheWorld: I probably just need to get institutionalized or laid or something, but surely I went a leap too far there... My big ole bad. As in keeping with the sacred traditions of my Hebrew ancestors and all the People Israel, I'll leave it be to linger and languish on the vine of bad jokes' sake. Obviously.
It's actually refreshing to see someone admit to a faux pas. We all go over the line. The bigger man or woman admits it. You are good by me.
@AkeemTheDreem86 - all I can say is that regardless of everything else, a President Kamala Harris would be infinitely worse for Jewish people in Israel and everywhere else than Trump. The Jewish friends I have spoken to say this is a "single issue vote" for them, even if they were lifelong Democrats, they are voting for Trump because of this. Frankly, I am amazed that someone who is Jewish would vote for their own self-destruction. Kamala Harris purposefully surrounds herself with Iranian, Jew-hating agents. Everyone is entitled to making their own personal choices, and I certainly can understand finding Trump very distasteful, and having a long tradition of not voting Republican anyway. But it is clear who is on the side of Israel and the Jewish people, and who is not.
As to the article that triggered your post, I find it very believable. It's simple - the enemy of their enemy is their friend. They hate Iran more than they have issues with Israel. They have been doing business with Israel for a long time already.
The overwhelming sentiment of the Jewish community in Houston (centralized in Meyerland and the City of Bellaire (if you know you know)) is equal parts pro Kamala Harris and anti Donald Trump.
The view that other Arab states are supporting Israel over Iran isn’t exactly the case. The ongoing conflict is alienating much of the Arab World and undoing diplomatic work between Arab countries and Israel. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/20/world/middleeast/israel-saudi-arabia-iran-gulf.html A Mideast Shift Is Underway, Without Israel Before Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks, Saudi Arabia was open to forging stronger ties with the Israelis. Now, a year into the war in Gaza, it is warming up to its traditional enemy, Iran.
