I just wanted to chime in and give my thoughts on why her McDonalds career matters. I will preface this statement by saying this is only my opinion But being a person who has been in the Restaurant and Hospitality field for over 30 years I think I might be qualified enough to say why this would matter. Working at McDonalds is very humanizing for a person of high academia and has been successful in their career. That curries much favor. Although you are a multi-millionaire, at least you came from humble beginnings. You were not given a golden spoon like Donald Trump. It is start point for any conversation with a young person, who is looking to better themselves. Example....... OK, so I work at McDonalds now, but if I work as hard as Kamala Harris, I can do anything I truly set my heart to. Now if your posterchild for getting out of McDonalds and into the Whitehouse or any other position of prestige is found to have been lying about their employment, that kills on two fronts. You lost your role model, and your role model is now a liar. I do not know if she did or did not really work at McDonalds, but it's pretty easy to find out. If she really did work there, all she has to do is get her W-2 from her time at the Arches. If you can't get that, the government has the tax papers from that year. I can get 2 of my friends to verify that I did emergency surgery on a lady whose appendix ruptured at a PF Chang's with a pair of chop sticks, Although I never did.
Tax info as we know is protected info and couldn’t just be released to the public. We see how Trump fought tooth and nail to release his but somehow Harris’ high school job is so important an issue she needs to release hers from the time. These are not remotely equivalent.
I am in no way exonerating Trump or defending him. Just simply giving my thought process of those who that are looking for that one thing. It's like having a poster of DeShawn Watson on your wall for 3 years just to find out, well you know the rest. I am in no way comparing the two individuals, but the feeling of disappointment that you bought into all that. Hope this makes sense. BTW. If she worked there, SHE has the ability to put forth corroborating evidence. My statement was not political.
If she worked there when she was 16 she probably doesn't. And if it was a franchise location then it might not even exist anymore, and records would be non-existent. Also the IRS only makes available tax records for 10 years back. Unless she took a photo in uniform or something there's really no way to know. But given the fact that she wasn't a daughter of a multi millionaire real estate mogul in New York and didn't inherit 200 million dollars from a family estate, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume at 16 she worked jobs like McDonalds like normal people do at 16. This is such a stupid controversy they are trying to push. Mostly because the two guys trying to push it in Donald Trump and Elon Musk never really had to work a day in their lives, and both are entitled brats who grew up on 3rd base, and claimed to hit a home run. Both products of daddy's money. There is no reason to doubt that Kamala is telling the truth based on her modest background growing up.
Even if you believe it matters, there is no reason to believe she didn't work at McDonalds. Nothing they've said is a legitimate reason to doubt it. There is plenty of reason to believe they are being dishonest in their attempt to smear Harris. Also, it matters far less, than giving away security Intel to Russians, being a convicted felon, attempting a coup while overturning an election to stay in power, sexual assault, spreading lies about immigrants in an attempt to create division within our country. So while it would suck if the role model for McDonald's to the Whitehouse was an apocryphal story, it wouldn't be as bad as any one of the things about the other candidate. The difference is that we know the negative information about the GOP candidate is actually true. The negative information about Harris shows no reason to be believed.

That's great, and shows your parents were probably very disciplined with you. That's fantastic, but not common whatsoever. Who knows though. It's possible that Kamala has some old boxes in storage somewhere that was saved from her mom's estate after she died, and maybe she has campaign staff digging through those as we speak so we can finally put to bed the controversy that REALLY MATTERS. The smarter thing for her campaign staff to be doing though is organizing get out the vote campaigns in Pennsylvania.
I don't really know. It seems like whenever I get rid of things they somehow become needed again. Example, we are doing a major kitchen renovation in our house to the tune of 55k. We were looking at a home equity loan. One of the things required was the court order saying I had been released from paying child support. Although I was able to stop paying support over 8 years ago. Had to freakin go to family court and get the discontinue paperwork. An afternoon wasted.
