Let's put it this way. What I see, read, and experience directly in the positions I have been in is less aligned to one set of mass media sources than others.

All media is 99% gaslighting. There are no sincere outlets left. Do your own research.

    You don't like free speech.

But hey, clue me in on why Musk would buy a loser like Twitter

I'm just wondering other than jealousy why you don't like Musk. Could it be because he's a conservative? He could've left those astronauts up in space. Or not provided star link to the hurricane victims. BTW, the Biden , Harris team tried to withhold Starlink from those in need. This is what you're voting for. SMH truly evil people.

White-knighting for the wealthiest dude on earth, hard to understand.

You keep injecting politics into this, not sure why. For one thing, Elon Musk is NOT a conservative. Lobbying against Kamala Harris doesn’t by itself qualify as being conservative. Hes very much like Trump in that regard. He’s someone who acts in self-interest at every turn. In this moment, he’s decided joining the massive grifting of rubes like you is the best move for him. He was pretty progressive when he had a chance to secure billions in federal funds to get SpaceX and Tesla to the next level. If the winds change again, his tune will with it, if it suits his self-interest.

What self interest is he acting in?

Space X, which helps the country?

    Tesla, that's a greenie deal

    Starlink?

    What?

BTW, explain to me what the grift is?

Are you saying you don’t know what the word “grift” means? Thats not surprising but it is enough for me to bow out. Good luck to us all.

Musk did not buy twitter to increase its revenue. He bought it to end it's one way political slant and the proliferation of lies told there. In that regard he has been highly successful.
You have been someone I have always looked up to and enjoyed discussing baseball with. Please leave your political animosity elsewhere. There is nothing I would like better than to continue to count you among my friends.

Elon Musk is not a political figure any more than Taylor Swift, Trevor Bauer, Jeff Bezos, Mark Cuban, or any other celebrity. If my rejection of the idea that Elon Musk is some protector of free speech means I don’t get to be your “friend”, that’s on you.

I’ve never started a political or social conversation on this board. But if idiots are going to post idiotic **** and the mods are gonna leave it up, I’m going to call it out. Post 818 by raining threes is the first one that was overtly political. Post 750 started the conversation away from the Astros, with the reply in post 763 accelerating the path to politics.

Enjoy a nation that looks like San Francisco. I happen to admire many of the things Musk has done. No politics to that.

I'm going to bow out and let's get back to talking about how the Stros are going to fill those 4 holes in their lineup.

I could see Dana Brown targeting some of the former Braves coaching staff who were recently let go.

"Enjoy a nation that looks like San Francisco" is hardly the great threat of life.
I am from Channelview- you want to threaten people? Tell them that America is going to turn into Market St. heading to the Ship Channel.
