Would've liked a win, but it wasn't critical. Now the next game...that will be one of the critical and pivotal games the Texans need to win. Don't fck around and lose that damn game next week.
Did they ever ask DeMeco about that non-challenge on the lateral? Or are the Houstons sports journalist going to be soft cowards again?
Refs also: 1. missed the call 2. should have ruled it a fumble to trigger automatic review 3. replay assist should have overturned it 4. would be nice to not always get screwed by the refs being bad at their jobs
Tough loss, another playoff type reg. season game down to last second On to the next one.....this for damn sure ain't the 3-13 Texans of old (very recent)
I sometimes miss the Lovie Smith / David Culley days, when I was indifferent and didn't care about the team. This **** really put a damper on my day today, as well.
Stroud, who said he wasn’t given the option to throw on those first two downs that resulted in running plays, told reporters after the game he didn’t have an issue with the play-calling at the end of the game. “I just try to execute every play that I can, that I get called,” Stroud said. “I don’t really have a philosophy right then and there. I’m trying to talk to (coach DeMeco Ryans), but I really can’t get over there, but what it seemed like is we were trying to just run out the clock and then try to kick the field goal before we ended up having to throw the ball on the third down and give them the ball back with like 1:40 left. I think that it was a good plan, just got to execute better.”
the non-challenge backward pass was for me. instead of having the football and packers score 0 points, the packers ran the next play and scored a TD immediately. that was them testing the texans' DBs and it gave them the idea Love can take risk chucking the ball downfield.
