Not sure who had the worst OL performance this weekend, UT or Texans.

Play action (1) gives QB more control + (2) allows QB to move out of the pocket (esp. when OL's strength is blocking on the move) + (3) causes the defense front 7 to pause while they determine if it is run or pass.

The big one is getting the QB out of the pocket and on the move. CJ has def shown the ability to make excellent passes while on the move.

No but we need to start winning games like that on the road. That's the last phase to becoming a TRUE SB winner

While the running game has shown some life recently, we're not in a position where we can "impose our will" on a defense. If they know we're running, we're probably not getting much, if anything.

There was one remark on commentary, right after having a good passing play on 1st down, how it was easier to pass on 1st down because GB couldn't commit to the pass rush the same way they did on 2nd3/rd and long.

Inevitably, most of our drives stalled because we got short or negative gains on first down. In our last drive, the last 3 first down calls were all runs for a collective -4 yards. I know they were trying to run clock. But the bigger point is that we can't run in obvious run situations. Same reason we struggle running when get in "big" sets and draw defenders closer to the box.

That being said, he absolutely needs to be the full-time PR going forward

It's the bread and butter of the Shannahan/Kubiak offense. Moving the pocket on a play action with a bootleg.

No idea why we didn't do a bunch of that today. Especially in the second half when our only offense was Mixon. Instead, we just force fed him and tried to jam a square peg into a round hole.

I didn't hit play because I'm assuming that's the one where Howard just falls over backwards?

There’s so much to it. He’s been great against pressure all year. Really good to be honest. He had free runners in his face all day. That should never happen. That was the worst offensive line showing I’ve ever seen.

So many protection issues. If be curious to see what the all22 looks like.

LOL, even if Tank caught that ball he wasn't getting in the end zone.

It worked in the 2nd quarter is why...and it takes Slowik a few drives to adjust to the fact that GB put an end to it and it wasn't going to work.

I think that post above about 2nd half scoring is telling. Slowik is slow to adjust and on top of that if the Texans get a 10 point lead Slowik calls plays like its a 24 point lead.

Yes, this is frustrating. This is a coaching failure. Throw the ball in the end zone, or make the packers use their timeouts. Pick one. I was in favor of trying to score, because the Packers were always going to have some time left on the clock unless we made a first down at the two yard line, which was somewhat unlikely. We did the worst possible thing. I’m losing faith in DeMeko as a game day coach.

A few more thoughts I need to get off my chest

    1. Why the **** was Demeco allowing Deangelo Ross (?) to play man coverage. Packers exploited it over and over and over and over and over

    2. Challenge the ****ing lateral in the first half. You went to halftime with 2 timeouts…. Wasteful. And it looked like a fumble, even live.

    3. Why can’t the Texans run RB screens with anyone except Dare ****ing Ogunbalwabaweehee

    4. It feels (to me) like every time we bring extra pressure, it’s very scripted and obvious to these QBs. Seems to rarely get to the QB unless it’s a rookie.

    5. Neville Hewitt played pretty well, that penalty was ehh

    6. Does CJ know that Dalton Schultz is still on the team?

    7. Will the real Tank Dell please stand up?

    8. I’m almost certainly alone on this. The last drive, even if we run the ball and concede the FG attempt on 3rd and 15, okay we get a few yards, GB burns a TO. It would have still be like 1:40 or so with no timeouts. GB is getting that FG attempt unless they turn it over. I don’t think it was that consequential, the play call on 3rd down was stupid nonetheless. If the goal was to burn the clock down, fine run it on first, and if you don’t get positive yards you need to change your approach and try to score. A FG in that situation is precarious to say the least.

    9. for the life of me I can’t figure out how that was a doubs catch. It wasn’t. And it wasn’t even reviewed. It should have been a 50+ yard attempt, I really think that could have changed the ending. Unacceptable.

Good point. Def have to mix it up. But GB's DC was def in Bobby's head / playbook. He did to CJ what Htown did to Josh Allen.

On the last drive, instead of throwing to Tank at the sideline. I was expecting a little dump off to a RB (Ogunbowale?) or WR (Tank?) so they could run around & waste some clock and get the ball closer - possibly getting a 1st down.
