Yankees almost got out a jam but a slow dribbler gave the pitcher trouble and when he finally picked it up he was so close to Rizzo, Rizzo couldn't catch the throw which lead to the tying run.

I laughed too soon. How do you go the entire season giving up 5 runs then get rocked in the playoffs.

This is without a doubt the worst post season ever for closers not getting the job done.

I'm trying to think of one team who hasn't been traumatized by a meltdown in the late innings.

After watching Gaddis, you couldn't help but think maybe he should pitch 2 innings, unless they had the lead.

It's as if the season doesn't really count for Clase.

    What a tragedy.

It's all in his head now. He no longer has the Kavorka.

Ha of course the umpire helps the Yanks out. Should have 2 on with no outs right now.

    Need robot umps.

Edit: Now would be loaded with no outs.

They have Clase all figured out. Wonder if they picked up on him tipping?

He had some bad games against the Tigers as well. If he was tipping against the Tigers, you would think they would have figured it out and fixed the problem. Announcers did mention velocity was down but not sure if it was just that ab because it did go back up once he was in trouble.

Makes you really appreciate what Pressly was able to do being perfect as a closer all those years.

So many guys get to October and it's just different.

Brad Lidge was near unstoppable in 2005 until the Pujols homer then promptly lost 2 World Series games.

Pressly has one blown save in the postseason. 14 of 15 for his career in save opportunities once regular season is over, and half this board want him dealt. You can't develop clutch... and even as he ages, he can still be more useful than Neshek, Giles, and Mitch Williams.

Or Nolan Ryan, or Bob Knepper, or Dave Smith, or Billy Wagner, or Randy Johnson, or Joe Sambito, or Charlie Kerfeld, or whoever....

Thanks for this. I was unsure who I would root for in the scenario of a Yankees and Dodgers World Series but these lames are STILL whining about that L they took so I guess the Yankees.
