We can agree to disagree here on Paolo being a great player. I do agree with you Jabari fits very well on the Rockets with his shooting, ability to switch, etc. I also liked he worked with KD in training. If he can learn to create for himself, he'll be particularly deadly for us in a playoff series due to his mismatch to shoot over smaller defenders and spread out bigs on the floor. Paolo's skill set is particularly suited for the playoffs when the game slows down and becomes more of a half-court game. He's too quick for bigs, too big for smaller defenders, and can shoot over them, can create off the dribble, and pass to make plays from double teams. His offensive bag is very advanced and he performs well under pressure. He did the same in the NCAA tournament as a teenager, some guys have the mental strength to rise to the occasion. If Jabari can learn to develop his handle, passing and most importantly create offense for himself and others he can become an outstanding player and weapon. But you have to work as we have a ton of talent and we'll see who develops over time.
Well one thing Jabari has over Paolo is Jabari is still valuable even if his ceiling is a role player. On this team that might even be preferred cuz obviously we cant max everyone. Besides Sengun Jabari is the only player who is guaranteed to be in the Rox long term unless he gets included in a superstar trade.
Lonnie Walker may get waived by the Celtics. $2.6M salary would fit nicely as the 15th guy. Hated this guy last year, but in the end his production was just right for the Rockets to get Reed. Okay defender that was able to hit shots last season. I think the Rockets have decent odds to make a consolidation trade this year such that someone like Walker may end up needed for minutes after the trade deadline.
I'm very curious which one will be healthier. Getting a read on how his body holds up will be key to assessing Wemby's future value.
I'm not curious at all considering that Leonard hasn't played a real game in a about 6 months and is currently out indefinitely with no return date?
Kawhi clearly has major problems staying healthy, but I mean--his typical season has been in the mid-60s games played. Wemby already managed to miss 11 games (71 played) as a rookie
Well, good luck to Hinton and Samuels who stayed for 3 years ......not that they earned a lot of money.
