    https://www.theringer.com/nba/2024/...-dream-shake-book-excerpt-the-life-and-legacy

In an exclusive excerpt from ‘Dream: The Life and Legacy of Hakeem Olajuwon,’ Mirin Fader explores how soccer, handball, and Olajuwon’s upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria, coalesced to create one of the most singular and devastating post moves in NBA history. “He’s no dream,” says former Lakers center Mychal Thompson. “He was a nightmare.”

Below is the name of the dude that Dream learned from and who was his Icon. Put some respect to his name.

Yomi Sangodeyi is a Nigerian basketball pioneer and legend. He was the first basketball player to be awarded sportsman of the year. He played for Nigerian National team in many International Tournaments in the late 70s and 80s.

Is that really an exclusive? Didn't we know this already?

Still, a good reminder. TV announcers always credited soccer and only soccer, but it's clear that team handball had a key role. I guess nobody mentioned it because not many Americans know the sport. (It's a cool sport.)

The exclusive part is spotlighting Yomi Sangodeyi and the quotes from Bill Walton before he passed plus the insight from the... referees (?!?)
