One of my friends from college is a sports radio host in Dallas. Has been for years. When I heard that Jerry chewed out a sports radio host I was so hoping it was him because I know he would have fired back with his dry sarcastic wit. As an aside, I love reminding him the Texans have more playoff wins since their first game in 2002 than the Cowboys have in that same stretch of years. That’s crazy given what the Cowboys were before. It’s funny, cause my 24 year older son will always say, “yeah, what’s the big deal about the cowboys? Why do they talk about them so much?”…because in his lifetime Dallas hasn’t done ****.
I guess tackling is considered unnecessary roughness now. If you want the play to stop, you MUST BLOW AN AUDIBLE WHISTLE.
In the Super Bowl rematch, Mahomes and Purdy have combined for 0 TDs and 5 INTs. With Kareem Hunt, the Chiefs don't miss Isiah Pacheco at all.
Holy Moly.......that was brutal, you can see his Achilles tear in real time, I have never seen that.......DAM, that was horrible. As much as I hate him, I hate to see that, I would prefer for him to just suck. They will be better with ANYONE else playing QB, should have kept Flacco
Even with Aiyuk, my one good NFL prediction will hold true: the niners won't win their projected # of games. I don't think they'll even finish this season at 500 when you consider they still play a ton of good teams this season. Too much wear and tear after those long playoff runs, and as I've said, I think the players are getting sick of Shanahan. The interesting part for the Niners is their rookie class. They got like six players that are contributing and playing way above what you would predict for them. Everywhere too: O-line, defensive backfield, you name it. Without that rookie class, they'd be last in their division right now. If the Texans could get one draft class like that, I feel like they could waltz to the AFC championship game.
Is there reason to think they are sick of Shanahan? They've lost 4 games, but they've been missing basically half their offense most of the season between McCaffrey, Aiyuk, and Deebo, and 3 of the games they lost were one-possession games. The Cardinals game was only a loss because they didn't have a kicker. Minnesota and KC are both elite teams. The only real bad loss was LA Rams. Obviously Aiyuk is out for the season and McCaffrey is an unknown, but it does seem like there's a lot of reason to have issues with Shanahan. But some coaches rub players the wrong way, so I'm curious where that's coming from. IF McCaffery comes back after the bye and if Pearsall can be a functional replacement for Aiyuk, I could still see them winning 10 games and being a team no one wants to face in the playoffs.
