For those of you that have been there, can you tell me a little bit about it? Which islands are best? This would be going here in a couple weeks. Planning on having about four days they are give or take.
I was there for four days in 2019. Unfortunately didn’t make it out to any of the islands as was there in Winter but overall liked it. Was mainly in Athens but did a couple of day trips to Delphi and to Mycenae. I’m a real history and architecture nerd so focused on the historical sites rather than other stuff.
Depends on what you are looking for. If you want the classic postcard stuff, Santorini. If you want party, Mykonos - it's like the Greek Ibiza. If you want history, go to Athens and visit the Acropolis. There are also nice hotels there. I have also been to Thessaloniki and to a place called Eagles Villas in Chalkidiki. There are also countless islands which are more off the beaten path - I went to my cousin's wedding in Syros (members of my family own a house there), much more quiet and also very nice. How are Delphi and Mycenea, anyway? Would love to do Greece as far as, several days in Athens + its road trips, several days in Crete.
