They didn't let the Clippers do anything. They wanted him back but Kawhi wanted to come home to California.
Harden on the verge of missing the playoffs for the 1st time in his 16 year career the Clippers have very little when it comes to offensive talent
i'll believe it when i see it whats more likely to happen is harden elevating this clippers team to a top 5 seed and then bill simmons/ryen russilo and their ilk will once again move the goalpost to hardens playoff struggles to justify screwing harden out of an all-nba spot. This current clippers team that the media is predicting to finish as a lottery team with harden will call harden a choker if he doesnt a title with this same team. Just watch
I know harden is 35, but Harden is the one player in the league who could drag a trash roster to the playoffs. I hope that doesn't happen because the more teams who are trash the better the Rockets chances of making it to the playoffs
Yep, but Harden is more injury prone than he was with the Rockets even if those injuries are just minor and nagging. I think KPJ and Norman Powell would have bigger seasons.....honestly.
Whitmore could potentially help the Clips this year because they need scoring. It would have to be a real sweet package because we need to be better than the Clips to retain our pick from the Thunder. I don't know what would be fair, but minutes are going to be tough for Whitmore this year with Eason back.
Also, we keep our pick owed to OKC if we are better than the Clippers, so it's not just playoff implications.
I'm wondering if I should overcome my dislike of him and pick up KPJ in fantasy basketball...will probably get to chuck quite a bit.
Mock trade via the Ringer https://www.theringer.com/nba/2024/...review-2024-trades-boston-celtics-luka-doncic Leonard to Houston for Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and Jalen Green. The Rockets have options. One is slow rolling their rebuild and watching their buffet of blue-chip prospects develop organically. Another is something more aggressive: a consolidation trade that accelerates their timeline and increases the urgency to win at the highest level without ravaging the future. If the Clippers can’t bottom out anytime soon, acquiring two solid veterans and a 22-year-old whose talent and athleticism beget the potential to become their next franchise player would be a convenient consolation prize.
Such a ridiculous proposal. Why would we trade for an individual that's probably going to have to retire soon due to his never ending knee issues?
