The highlights were fantastic ..... but I don't think he played particularly well. .467 from the floor - pretty solid. .333 from distance - mediocre .60 from the charity stripe - unacceptable 0 assists. Those just aren't superstar max player numbers if you ask me. I think it's because he wasn't used to playing in a fast-paced offense like that with Alpy in the game. It takes him a while to adjust his game. Even with his low shooting %, he still scored like crazy and dominated games. If you take a look at some of the games where Jalen has had huge performances, you'll see what I mean.

Not defending Green but OKC has a cheat code this season with guard dawgs such as Dorture, Caruso, Cason Wallace, those can lock down most of the guards in the league.
He sure made Dort and Wallace look pretty silly When we hyper analyze single preseason games I think it's then fair to bring up singular regular season games. OKC wanted him to shoot 3s instead of going to the FT line which he only went 2 times...... If he beats them, then he beats them. That was his best game in 3 years time but he still had 5 Turnovers and the Thunder score was close. So his superstar status is only +12? Amen had +10 and was a rookie. Amen had 1 Turnover and 25 points and 15 boards on 6 fewer shot attempts and no 3 pointers! Green made 7 threes but only scored 37 ..... Luka would have scored 50.
No you're not getting what he's doing. You're fine talking about something specific. Alpi and Jalen both performed amazing in games when we raised our pace. What Corrosion is doing is he cherry picked the 43 lowest efficiency games of last season to find an extra way to say Jalen is inefficient. So now he can be mad double the time - at the season averages and lowest 43 games - although those numbers are saying the same thing. If Green's worst games improved, his average would improve too. It's all one and the same. Improvements in consistency while holding the top performing games constant is just another way of raising an average. The way he's thinking about it has nothing to do with the actual concept of consistency - which would require less good games and less bad games. No one is interested in less good games. We want a higher average efficiency. It would mean absolutely nothing to us if his averages didn't change but his lows were not as low as before. To put in perspective why this info he's sharing is irrelevant, Ja Morant's worst 43 games of shooting in his most recent season will also be around 20% shooting. The dude deserves his max contract. No one defines a player by this metric.

The best part isn't even that, I was one of the early ones that said if Jalen Green actually exploded, it would make it easier for me, because I don't have to post much and deal with those irritating arse and phony arse followers. Boy, I was wrong.

You know better - you know my post history, I've said all along that he simply needs to reduce the number of bad games to improve his overall numbers / consistency. It's exactly that - the high volume of bad games that are holding him back. He doesn't need to be superstar Jalen that we get for 25 games a year, he just can't be bad Jalen for 51% of the season. What I really want to know is what your take is when he doesn't improve after defending him tooth and nail for the past three seasons. What's your take when you've been wrong this whole time.
