ted might be smart, but he is also a slimeball and a liar who nobody actually likes and has done nothing for our state. all of his TV ads are obsessed with trans people...its weird.

ted cruz rightly called donald trump a "pathological liar", “utterly amoral,” “a narcissist at a level I don’t think this country’s ever seen” and “a serial philanderer.” then trump called his wife ugly on twitter and accused his dad of being involved in the JFK assassination and ted turned into one of his biggest sycophants.

during hurricane harvey ted bolted for cancun and when called out on it blamed his 12 year old daughter.

we can do better as texans than have someone like that representing us.

Ted Cruz has championed conservative principles his entire life and has helped preserve these important principles. He has won two Senate campaigns, and is about to win a third.

Credit to him for putting his ego aside and making amends with Trump -- politically it was the right thing to do. It was a very difficult thing to do, but he did it for the sake of advancing his beliefs. The man stood on principle, which I respect. Few do that -- most liberals are mental infants that have emotional fits and can never recover. This holds them back. Forgiveness is important to a productive life.

The Cancun thing I don't really get. He had a family vacation scheduled. He is not in any way involved in emergency response in his capacity as a United States Senator. AND he came back early from a very nice vacation -- so he made the sacrifice. Let the man live his life.

 

All rich men should have the privilege to use their hard earned money and get the hell out of Houston the moment they fell they are in danger. Rafael Cruz did the right thing in abandoning us.

his decision to become a sycophant for trump is not unique (lindsey graham, rick perry, ect) but its probably the most egregious. it was a political decision and nothing more...he knew that if he went against trump his political "career" was over.

he did not have a family vacation scheduled. it was a last minute booking. he then blamed it on his daughter by saying that when harvey hit their 12 year old daughter came to them and said she wanted to go to cancun so they went. in a matter of hours they got plane tickets and hotel accommodations because their daughter told them to do it. that is what ted himself said. if teds story is true (which i doubt) then that only speaks to what a bad parent he is.

"We just like Cruz." Why? Because he has (R) next to his name on the ballot, and that's how your friends vote, and your pastor, and that's how your mom and dad voted, and their parents, and their parents..........?

I'm not going to pretend I believe Allred will win, but he's part of the reason I'm going to vote (as if Harris has a chance in Texas, PSHAW!)
I can always fantasize about Ted Cruz losing. That's how much he sucks. Even in blood-red Texas that flocks to venal pieces of s*** like Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton, Cruz always has to suck up for votes and money because he isn't even as popular as them. And they stink on ice.

Texas was a solidly Democratic (D) state until the 1980's started to change things. So you are wrong about parents/parents voting the same way. I hope you apply more rigor and diligence to your other strong opinions.

 

Cruz hasn't done anything for TX. He should retire and go full into podcast. He has an excellent skill set for that and would probably make a killing. Allred would be great for Texas. He did an awesome job in the debate, but unfortunately, I don't think TX is ready yet. I hope to be wrong.

 

Are you ready for the next month and the absolute lose-lose proposition the R party is in? Either they lose the election for 4 of last 5 times and with one win in the popular vote since the 1980’s regardless.

Orrrrr Trump wins and fat boy “governs” into his 80’s and drives the party into the gutter for the next decade plus. He can barely stay on topic right now. He will be an utter disaster. Fun stuff either way!

 

I wish Allread would've found a way to interject that into the debate. Something like "You couldn't even defend your own wife when trump attacked her (and your dad). Instead, you bent over and kissed his ass. What makes you think you can defend Texas?".

 

But Cruz the coward keeps winning elections in TX. But I believe you: some of your best friends are people who hate Cruz.
